Chương 22: Escape Plan
"Don't panic! Switch group! get rest, you nitwits!" Carlo shouts dumping orders to the people.
Their defense is getting crumble as time goes on, he is persistent as he waits for something like a miracle that will happen.
Their group might not last without Carlo's strategy as he keeps his 80% of his people in fighting and 20% are resting and making a quick switch for others to also rest.
It maybe has some flaws but with Carlo's deep thinking he managed to cover their flaws in a second.
Seriously, if only he had taken education only just a little-...
"OY!!!" Someone from afar shouted in desperation.
The distance between them is far and between them is the ongoing fight.
But Carlo quickly knew who it was and gives an order to his personal crew.
"Rin!"
"I know!"
Carlo said earlier that he didn't give a damn if there is anything that happened to those people who leave the fight but looks like he was not.
Rin with ten thugs sprinted to the location of the shout.
As they run they see Mike's figure carrying Daniel on his back with blood on their trail.
It was a horrible scene yet they did not stop. Their orders are to protect Mike who is in danger (even tho they are former enemies.)
However, Rin's group is not the only one going to the source of the voice.
Looks like the guards are also chasing Mike with sweats on their face showing that the chase started a while ago.
"Three, take care of the two. The remaining beat the shit out of those people. We already got used to fighting with big guys worse than this, right?"
"Yes!" The ten thugs yell in sync showing that they used to this fight of odds.
"Think of it like picking a pocket from an old man! Give 'em hell!"
"YEAH!!!!"
Six guards can be seen chasing Mike and Rin and the seven thugs quickly pounce to their enemies taking the advantage of not having attention to them.
The remaining three already at the side of Mike running along with him.
Mike showed a surprised expression as he amazed by the sudden reinforcement he got in just quick notice.
One of the three gives a gesture that "let me carry that thing for ya." without uttering a word.
He kinda gets it but he replies as he reads the one's mind "Okay, but don't call him a thing I feel sorry for him."
"U-uh... Sorry."
Mike let the thug carries Daniel at his back. To his surprise, he saw Daniel's right leg is missing as he shivers in fear thinking about what kind of accident happened to him.
"If you can't carry him I'll do it instead." Mike like psyche reads the thug's mind as he talks to him with annoyance.
"N-no it's fine I'll do it." The thug didn't have a tone from his voice as he lost what to express seeing Daniel.
The four did not stop running and went to Carlo's location while leaving Rin and others behind.

Carlo looked at the place where Rin and others went as he waits for their return.
After waiting for three minutes Mike and the three return safely.
Carlo quickly checks Daniel's condition after they got here.
He is terrified and somehow amazed at Daniel's missing leg. Daniel is still conscious even after he lost too much blood that makes Carlo amazed at him.
It did not take a couple of seconds for Carlo to patched up Daniel's large wound by tying multiple layers of cloth.
With a lot of clothes that they managed to steal from the guards, they managed to treat Daniel's wound.
Mike takes this opportunity to take one of the black clothes and wears it as he put his away to cover Daniel's wound.
As soon after Mike puts on his shirt Carlo, and the three thugs are staring at him with disbelief that shows in their faces.
Mike makes a disgusted face expressing 'what kind of low humans you are?' to them.
The three thugs and even Carlo think something weird about Mike.
(Is that kid a girl?)
(Wah, he is more feminine than my sister.)
They quickly erased their thought regarding Mike as they noticed that Mike is staring at them with a cold expression. A familiar expression that makes them know that they anger the Demon.
Even Carlo who is the type of that doesn't give a single damn about everything other then surviving and revenge are now blushing, averting his eyes away from Mike. Not that he is scared to Mike but he felt guilty about thinking something weird to him.
"Can I talk now?" Mike gives a flat tone to them with a cold chill air that comes with it surrounding their whole bodies.
"Ah yeah," Carlo replied with a low tone.
Luckily, since the start of him waking up in the darkroom his hair was already tied up into a bun.
He might not notice it but Ray knew that Mike hates his hair getting loose so he tied Mike's hair for him.
(The enemy thug leader is actually blushing? What the fuck is this shit?)
As time is gold Mike quickly put his words straight to the point.
"I found two small boats on the ship for us to escape not far from here. I want everyone rushes to that place immediately without stopping to build a huge momentum to knock out the guards who are guarding the small boats and not get pinch attack at all sides," said Mike in normal tone reverting the cold aura back into less cold in this night sky.
Carlo, even tho he is still averting his eyes he quickly understood Mike's plan and gives him a nod.
"If we do rush into a single place without stopping some of the thugs might be left behind if things get more unexpected. Not to mention we don't know if the boats would enough for all of us." Carlo gives his thoughts all out to Mike.
As expected from someone who takes his comrade first before himself he thinks all of the possibilities that might happen to them.
Mike knew all of the possibilities that something might happen but he only thinks that at least most of the people are safe than most of the people are left behind.
Of course, Mike didn't want to say that as he wanted to prevent a fight between them now as their situation is still worse.
He gives a suggestion that Carlo can't refuse.
"That is why I need you to managed to the back so that everyone must not be left behind." Of course from Mike's side, this is a lie as he already knows that they can't leave here without wasting other's life.
(I don't know why he is sensitive to his people even tho he did not give a single damn about others.)
"If that's the way for me to not let others get left behind then fine by me."
"Then I'll take the lead at the front."
"Okay, that is better than letting muscle head like Leo take the lead."
"Oy! What did you say, you bastard!?"
"Shut up you worthless trash! Without your slinger, you are like an average boy then now you lost your leg!? Don't give me a harsh time here!" (How can you even have time to yell at us when you are in a horrible state?) thought by Carlo.
With a powerful serve(words) coming from Carlo to him, Daniel just shut up his mouth for being useless as he knew it to himself.
Carlo looks at Mike with determination to his face.
"I don't know what you are planning but if you drag one of my people here you dead."
With a tint of intimidation coming from Carlo's voice Mike is taken a surprise.
"Hehe, Don't worry I'm not that bad." Mike answer with an idle tone showing that he will not let Carlo's thug involve in something more dangerous.
He continued; "I also want everyone to escape if the situation will not get worse than this one then I don't mind exerting effort to help others." (But it's a different story if oneself need to be wary more on their lives than others.)
As they are talking to themselves Rin's group has just arrived.
Looks like they managed to defeat the guards that chasing them and managed to come back here with only bruises.
Not only their teamwork is sync but also their adaption in any environment and enemies.
Rin's group has a different aura compared to the other thugs as they have much more experience when it comes to being a thug.
(So this is you called Elite thugs, huh. Now that I think about it I got to fight with them but they are only eight of them back then including him.)
"Ah! Rin good timing! Go relay this message to others." Carlo welcomes Rin and quickly gives him an order even tho he is still gathering his breath.
Maybe because of Rin's loyalty to Carlo he obediently follows his order without complaint.
"Okay." He immediately went off with his group to the ongoing fight.
Mike looks at Carlo with envious eyes as he also wanted some people to follow him.
(Damn. What a cool guy if only you didn't chase me back then we could be pals or something.)
They could if he had not done that to them back then.
