Shen Shi nodded and asked, "Then can you tell me what life is like in the Xi Family for you?"

"Life is boring." Xi Meili sighed. "As a princess from a royal family yourself, you should know what I mean. We spend most of our time studying and cultivating long before we even learn to run, and there's always a certain level of expectations for our every action. There are a lot of things that I wish to do but cannot do solely because of my background. It's a little suffocating at times if I have to be honest." 

Shen Shi's eyes flickered with emotion after hearing her own experience and feelings from Xi Meili's mouth. 

"I understand!" she said, "And I'm sure it's a lot worse for you, who is from the Supreme Heaven! I cannot even begin to fathom your hardships…"

"Well, I am used to it by now."
