Chương 67: Ch.67 Playing a Role...
Kris watched Zheng took a breath as he opened the door, shook his head then slowly walked out of the bus, disappearing in the distance.
The moment Zheng stepped off the bus, events in the movie were already moving forward. So without anymore delays Kris looked at all the newbies, and said "Wait for me to come back, I'll be confirming a few details in the movie first. When I return I'll be giving you some options, and some tools to give you a shot at surviving this movie."
"Wang, Not a fart leaves that door after me. Use sufficient force when necessary, here take this taser." Kris took out the taser from his trench coat secretly taking it out of his storage belt.
Wang Xia answered with a salute...
"Quit with the salute, you are no longer in the military the moment you entered this dimension. Xuan should have made that clear, for all intended purposes we are civvies now, and we're going local from here on out."
Kris got off the bus as Wang Xia closed the door behind him.
He walked up to the crowd. Everyone was staring at the explosion on the highway. At least dozens of people died in this series of crashes. The whole place was on fire and within all the commotion was a cop holding a crying girl.
"Would you mind me asking what actually happened here?" Kris walked up to the cop and asked the girl in his embrace politely.
The girl kept crying, and couldn't speak. So the cop quickly said. "She's in shock. Please don't ask her any questions for now. If you have any questions, please come with us to the station."
Kris raised his hands up saying, "Buddy, this is the first leave I had since my recent tour. Me, and my cousin are going home, its our grandma's birthday. He's even introducing his girlfriend to the family, I just want to know what this lady saw. Otherwise I wouldn't dare to drive on the highway again."
"You're with the military?" asked the girl
Kris nodded and answered, "1st Lieutenant, 4th Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. At your service ma'am" he even lifted the dog tags he prepared before hand. It has his actual information, it even had a nickname "FACE" written on it.
The cop looked at her helplessly, she wiped her tears with her sleeves before telling Kris what she saw.
This girl was the main character Kimberly. After drying some of her tears. She started to come down, letting out a sobbed then said. "I had a vision, I don't know why. It was like I saw myself driving on the highway, then a truck carrying logs suddenly had an accident."
"The chains holding the logs in place broke loose, then the logs rolled off, and caused the car behind it to explode. The other cars got in a series of crashes from evading the logs. The car I was driving flipped over then..."
Her body began to tremble, and she started sobbing again.
"If this vision is true, then we should be grateful, you just saved our lives. Can I ask if our bus were also involved in the pile up?" He pointed at the bus they were on.
Kimberly nodded her head. "Yes, From what I remember, people from this car to that bus died. Let me think. This car exploded first, then this one caught on fire. The one on the motorcycle died from collision."
"This lady and her son died first. Her son was thrown out of the car. Then she died in the crash. Then the whole bus exploded and killed her son. Then that car..."
Kris already knew that God changes part of the movie to insert the players, so he expected the changes in the plot.
After hearing what Kimberly has to say, he said,"Well none the less I'm thankful for what you did."
"I would have invited you to taste my grandma's cooking for saving our lives, But I know this kind officer will need to take you down at the station."
"I know, why don't. I give you my number so you could call me if you get more of these visions. Here!" Kris handed a piece of paper with his number on it.
"I'll best be going, My cousin, and his girlfriend got as a ride town. I'm sorry about your friends, see you around." he waved, and mixed in with the crowd.
He went straight towards the bus, when he was near he could hear the argument within.
"What makes you believe he is telling the truth? and who were those people that left before, and the other guy?" shouted panda girl.
"I'm not clear on the details but, he is a superior officer so I'll listen to him for now." said Wang Xia
"Whatever just get out of the way man, so we could leave this place, and away from that nutjob!"
Kris took this time to enter the bus, " I had gotten what I came for, so you're free to go. Here take this its a bank card you can use it in any ATM the password is 012345. Also take this cellphone with you, my number is saved on it already." Kris step aside for, Panda girl, and Dyed hair Dude to pass.
They took the bank card, the cellphone, and rushed out of the bus. Dyed hair Dude must had picked up his hand at some point 'cause he was carrying it with him when they run off.
"Well I guess, only the few of you sensible people are left. Let's leave this place first so we could have a proper talk. Wang, escort this young lady, we're moving out."
Wang Xia assisted Zhu Wen as they left the bus, they quickly hailed two cabs. Kris, Wang Xia, Zhu Wen and the professional looking lady shared the same cab. Kris sat infront while the 3 took the back seat.
The 3 other men took the other cab, and followed them. Kris asked to be brought to a respectable hotel in town, booking 3 adjacent rooms for the group. Kris payed everything with the black bank card Felicity gave him.
Kris ordered room service, to bring up some food for everyone. They gathered in Kris's suite due to it being the biggest room out of the 3 they got.
Sitting around the living room of the suite, Kris began to explain the situation.
"Right now the survivors of the pile up are at the police station. So we have time to discuss things, Why don't we start introducing ourselves."
"My Name is Kris Wu, I'm a veteran of 4 movies, My specialty is close combat. My code name is Face."
When he finished he looked at Wang Xia, taking the hint Wang Xia introduced him self next.
WangXia replied first. "My name is Wang Renjia but, most people call me Wang Xia. I was a member of the special force. Codename is Greedy Wolf, specialized in reconnaissance, counter-reconnaissance, planting mines and setting traps."
Kris nodded, and took towards the next speaker.
The woman in the suit was rather open. "Huang Lilin. I worked in a periodical office. Hm, half editor, half freelancer."
An average salaried man said. "Li Laoshi. Plumber. I started as an apprentice since fourteen and have been working in this field for twenty years."
The man in glasses gave a laugh. "Zheng Xue. Hoho, we stem from the same root. My occupation was a lawyer. Currently working in Hong Kong."
The skinny and pale skin teenager said shyly. "Wang Xiaohao. Uh. Don-don't have a job yet." He was either timid or hadn't spoke in a long time.
Everyone then turned to the blind woman. She also knew it was her turn and smiled. "Zhu Wen. I have sight mutation, not blindness. The world through my eyes looks strange so it's difficult to find a job. I worked as a fortune teller."
when she was done speaking Kris ask off handedly.
"So, what do you actually see behind those eyes?! do you see dead people?!"
