Chương 47: Ch.47 Race you to the Dawn
The oasis had an abundant source of fresh water. It was just like a mini city. It had most ordinary merchandise, especially camels.
After restocking fresh water and food, and buying thirteen camels, one for each member, plus one additional to carry their luggage.
They continued on the way to Hamunaptra. Even when they got tired, they would only take a nap on a camel.
[Kris POV]
Kris took this time to talk with Tengyi as the next stage of his plan would revolve around Tengyi's abilities.
Tengyi was now proficient in using the Summoner Ring of Earth, and was able to summon an earth spirit, and use it for Spirit Assimilation.
Effectively giving him earth bender like powers. Kris explained his plans to Tengyi, and his role. Which mainly entails digging.
As Kris does not know exactly where Team India will appear, since the descriptions in the novel were very vague. West of Hamunaptra was just too little to go with. So, He deviced a plan from one of his favorite anime.
He made Tengyi train by commanding his earth spirit to dig sink holes, and tunnels for the next three days.
[General POV]
It was just Before dawn, after another chilling desert night had ended...
When the group was getting accustomed to the waning of night, a group of several dozen people on horses rode toward them. The leader was Beni, another person that left Hamunaptra alive.
"Good morning, my friend." Beni shouted at O'Connell when he was still quite a distance from them.
O'Connell didn't answer. He moved closer to them with the group.
An American standing behind Beni asked. "Why are we stopping? Didn't you say we're close to Hamunaptra? Hurry up, why stop here?"
Beni replied calmly. "My friend, be patient..."
Evelyn also asked in a low voice. "What are we doing here?"
"We wait... to be shown the way." O'Connell also answered in a low voice.
Then the American shouted. "O'Connell, What do you say to a friendly bet? Whoever enters the city first gets 500 bucks... Are you in?"
The sun was rising as O'Connell answered,"You're on!."
As the morning sun rose from the horizon, the first rays of the sun shone on the desert sand, and The ruins gradually appeared like a mirage. This was the legendary city of the dead.
After several days of hardship on a camels back. Everyone was excited when their destination is finally in sight.
[Kris POV]
Kris rode his camel next to Tengyi and said, "As soon as we enter, head to the last archway near the statue of anubis."
"Our goal is their, and don't forget to dig the book of the dead with the canopic jars first. We don't want the americans to get them."
After reminding Tengyi Kris rode pass him, and soon Felicity over took him as well.
[Scene Break]
[Tengyi POV]
When Tengyi arrive at the spot, Where the statue of anubis is located. He quickly summoned his earth spirit, and ask it to dig for the Books and Imhotep's sarcophagus.
By the time, the americans had set camp the books and The sarcophagus was found, that being said the golden book was found under the statue of rah. Tengyi placed the loot behind a sand dune far from site.

[General POV]
When Zheng's group was marveling the ruin of Hamunaptra. This magnificent ancient city. One could see Kris was setting up camp with the help of Felicity.
Once everyone was inside the city of Hamunaptra, the two groups settled down together. Evelyn then dragged O'Connell to search for the entrance to the underground. The Americans were also started looking for their entrance.
Zheng discussed with his group and decided not to go with O'Connell. In contrast, they began to explore the terrain.
When he was giving orders for the group to follow, Tengyi came to stand near Kris, and told him the location of the items he had excavated.
[Kris POV]
Kris took the chance to move away from the group to gather the excavated items.
After arriving at the site, Kris took out the key, and opened the book of the Dead whilst, taking out some materials used in Brass Robbings, and made 2 copies for each page, being absolutely careful not to trigger the ownership mark.
When he had everything done, He proceeded to do the same with the golden book. Done with the rubbings, He ask Felicity to keep the Items in the magic bag.
Felicity was able to stuff everything in the magical bag. Though the magical bag seems to be able to place an object of any size, and weight, It does have its limitations; the magical bag could only contain 2000kg of weight. Yet still it weighs no less, than an ordinary bag of its kind.
Turning to Felicity, "Dear, I would like you to take the newbies on a ship bound to leave the harbor, It matters not where its destination is, as long as its out of Egypt by tonight."
"Please, call down the Flying car. I would like to talk to them, and bring Heng to the group." Felicity nodded, and closed her eyes to land the car near them.
Not a minute later, 4 dents on the sand appeared, and along with it is the rest of a light blue Ford Angla.
As the 3 passengers got off Kris spoke, "Is time if you have checked your watch then the 5000m under O'Connell had already disappeared. Heng are you still set on remaining here?" Heng nodded with conviction at Kris's question.
"I won't say good bye but, a short 'see you later' would do." said Kris to Hongliang and Zhuiyu.
A nod was their response as they boarded the Flying Car with Felicity.
"Be sure to pick me, and Tengyi up later."
With the farewells over with. Felicity handed the magic bag to Kris, after a kiss.
When they disappeared near the horizon Kris, and Heng returned to camp.
[Scene Break]
When They arrive at camp, It was around a quarter past noon judging by the sun's position in the sky. Moving pass the busy camp. O'Connell nowhere in sight meaning the already entered the tomb.
Kris told Heng to stay with Zero after he told him about his skillset, and to let Heng tag along with him.
Kris then came up to Tengyi, and said, " Come now Lasso, we have some digging to do."
