Chương 7: Chapter 7:Apprenticeships
After our morning exercise, breakfast and shower, I brought Ruby, Emerald and Amethyst to their respective apprenticeships workplace. We first got to the restaurant near the house and all three of us profusely apologised in advance to the owner of the "Golden Plate " for the problem she will cause. Then we made our way to the forge in the industrial district, we bid Ruby our farewell. Sonia and I walked to the port together but soon split up when we reached the shipyard. I arrived at the docks and started to search for the ship I would board for the next 2 years. I was surprised to find out that the "Big Catch " was only a small sized ship with his 10 meters long and 5 meters large.
"Hello is there anyone here? I am the one John sent. " I yelled when I found no one at the deck.
The door of the cabin opened and a voice yelled back "So it's you Kid come on board, you almost made me wait. Old John didn't tell you when to come did he? "
"Not even telling me, he just gave us a map with the date written on it. You can call me Rogue, sir."
"Just like him to do so. You can call me captain on board of the ship, we'll check the boat together before going to catch some fish. So pay attention, I really don't like to repeat myself. "
His teaching methods were harsh but fair, teaching by the example showing how it is done and telling why it is done that way and not another. I can't see myself sailing a ship tomorrow but with his knowledge and two years of time it's definitely feasible. Fishing was more of a side activity than the main focus, we still spread the nets before taking out fishing rods. He would then test me to see if I memorised what he told me earlier. When the sun went down we sailed back to the port, we caught 7 fishes with the fishing rods and 35 more with the nets. Not joyous nor mad the captain seemed used to it, it should be what he considers as usual.
I got back home, only to find out that Amethyst was still working, Ruby and Emerald were already chatting about their day. I entered the livingroom or more aptly named the gym and set the bodybuilding chair to my current ability 200kg for the legs and a 100kg for the back training. After my workout I started cooking for the three of us, Ruby learned how to refine iron ore into ingots but had a long way to go to complete it properly as for Emerald she got to draw markers on the wood and help during the cutting process while being introduced to the tools she will be using and what their purpose is.
At half past ten, a lonely figure dragged itself into the house and complained "I am drained, it's fine if I go to bed directly. I have cuts all over my hands so I can't use the dumbbells and barbell anyway. ".
"Amethyst go exercise your back and legs and after that is done half an hour of special training and hurry! or your turn to sleep with me will be removed for this week " I heard her audibly gulping from fright then she pleaded "Anything but skipping my turn 3 times a week isn't enough already and I already have to share you 2 nights out of the 3. I will exercise as long as you want me to, so please don't joke about it anymore. "
The first month passed by in a flash, I can now sail the ship alone. As long as it is under a sunny weather on a known place without other complications. Ruby got praised for an iron ingot she did recently, she is now receiving lessons on how to use an anvil and the process of forging between heating, working on the metal and quenching. Emerald started to learn the coding of the ship building planning sheet with the numerous views and dimensions. As for Amethyst she didn't cut her fingers since last week which is an improvement I guess, as for her cooking we noticed she has somewhat improved on the weekend meals but still inferior to my skills.
6 month later the special training paid off, Ruby avoids every average speed attacks while Amethyst, Emerald and me still get hit one time out of three. Ruby got her first order made dagger to craft, while Amethyst cooking now surpasses mine. I now how to sail the boat alone and the captain advises me from time to time. Emerald got to participate in the creation of a new state of the art merchant ship, even if it is just grunt work it still is a valuable experience. Ruby and Emerald are as always physically stronger than the rest, but Ruby strength rose exponentially due to her work.
Amethyst can now aged significantly any part of her body under a minute but still need 5 minutes to apply it through her stick. My relationship with the girls didn't progress much aside from kissing their foreheads and hugging them, there is no other intimate action besides cuddling together in the bed at night. Not that I am not attracted to their bodies but they are still aged 7 years at most and 5 for the youngest, but mentally they are maturing far faster than the average kid because they are working toward a common goal while already learning a profession.
An entire year passed since we started the apprenticeships, Emerald began to draw out the design plan for our ship preparing to build it over the coming year weekends. The ship was planned to be 25 meters long and 9 meters large with a single mast, storage room, armoury, global barracks for the entire crew and a little smithing workshop and a captain office.
Amethyst table manners remarkably improved while her cooking repertoire increased in variety. Ruby got the plan for the metal pieces necessary for building the ship and the tools to help with it, her skills were recognised by her master even if she couldn't create something of the quality of the 50 superior blades she has enough skills to create standard Marine blades. I, on the other hand, managed to sail in bad weather two times without the captain help but didn't face a storm during the year.
A third of a year passed, Ruby helped Emerald building the skeleton of the ship easily lifting heavy pieces of wood during the weekends. Amethyst brought them lunch while I continued to train during the weekend in the hope of catching up to the monster duo in terms of physical strength. The special training upgraded in difficulty, we were now attacking at full strength many time faster than before and even Ruby terrifying instincts couldn't save her from being beaten by the rolled newspaper.
One month before the end of the internship, our ship was finally built. The smithing workshop was not yet installed as it required Ruby's permission for the final details. Amethyst was now an accomplished cook not yet an expert as she only cooked with this island ingredients. My first big storm on the boat was terrifying, waves a meter higher than the deck, being washed from one side of the deck to the other really wasn't a pleasant sensation. At least I was still on the boat, in storm's like that the only thing to do is close the sails and steer the ship to avoid capsizing.
The internships are finally over, the ship's final adjustments were done and our strength greatly raised and our bodies matured.
Amethyst changed the least, she grew up to a height of 176cm her pink hair cut short for practicality while cooking. Her abs are now slightly defined while her breasts are filling to the limit a D-cup bra, covered by a white cooking shirt stopping before her navel. She wears long black silk pants fastened to her body by a brown belt adorned with cooking knives while strapped on her back a 2 meters long black metallic stick forged by Ruby stood out. Her power increased, she could changes every part of her body's age in less than 5 seconds and could age a body part while touching it with the stick in under a minute long contact, but her physical strength was still the lowest of us all.
Ruby reached a height of 205cm while her black V-neck shirt barely covered G-cup breasts and a pair of jeans hugged her ass. Her strength increased the most among us, she could lift a 1.5 tonne barbell or run with 300kg extra weight on her for the morning training. And it is without even factoring in her Sulong transformation who she hasn't mastered nor yet trained in. Her goal for the forseeable future is to create a heavy armour for herself as measures of protection while battling pirates, probably some effect of her childhood tragedie but I am interested in the concept of a combination of heavy armour and armament haki. How destructive would it be when she runs someone over or even the defensive ability that it could have.
Emerald body was the definition of healthy, her 194cm tall body with all around well defined muscles pushed weights up to 780kg and could run in the morning with 230kg weights. On rainy days she became a true monster capable of running while dragging half a tonne on her or even winning alone against the three of us with undeniable ease due to her increased speed and strength. She wears a royal blue swimwear top compressing her E-cup breast and black and white swimming trunks hugging her well toned buttocks.
I grew up to an height considered impossible in my previous life, a grand 245cm tall for 150kg of swimmer like muscles. I was average down there with a 18cm before my rebirth but now even if in my point of view it hadn't changed much my built was almost 1.5 bigger. My strength outgrew Emerald recently but needless to say that I am not her match when she is in contact of water. My dark grey hair cut below my ears with my scar and newly grown goatee beard gave my face a rough look.
