The show was about to begin.
All the participants where inside different speed boat.Which took them to a well built island on the ocean.
It was a bit far from the beach.
"Oh my creativity!
The engineers that constructed this huge island tried.
Great engineering", Blessing exclaimed.
" Indeed",Christiana added.
The speed boats stopped at the shore of the island.
All the students came out of the boats.
The speed boats then left.Leaving all the students there alone.
Just then,they heard John's voice coming from a horn speaker,up on an artificial coconut tree.
He was announcing to the students.
"Each team should take their position at their stand.
You'll find different entrance into the island".
They looked and found different entrances.
They moved and stood at different entrances. Team by team.
At the castle,the students gathered inside the hall.
A big screen was set for them to watch the game.
"I'm so excited!",a girl cheered.
A boy looked at the screen and said out loud," The show has started !".
Everyone turned to the screen.
The game had begun.
Treasure and the girls faced the screen.
The screen showed the whole teams,standing at different entrance.
They saw Christiana and her team.Standing in front of an entrance. The students cheered.
"Waw!
Christiana looks great in her outfit", one of Ella's friends complimented.
Ella and Hannah hissed and folded their arms angrily.
The girls cheered on seeing their friends.
The most happiest person there was Adeola.
She was happy that her friends were putting on the outfit she made for them.
" Go guys!",Ganiyat and Abigail shouted.
Each team stood at the entrance that was shaped like a skeleton's head.
Then they heard John's voice.
"Take note pirates. In your quest to find the golden sword,you'll have to pass all the obstacles on your way".
" Easy task"Lisa bragged and looks at Christiana. Christiana also looks at her.
"You'll come across some riddles and a map,that'll lead you to the golden sword.
It nay also lead you to your rivals part.
So be prepared for a fight.
Don't forget the golden coins.
They are very important too.
It's like an aid.
So goodluck pirates.
And may the best pirate win".
Christiana smirks and says," May the best pirate win indeed".
"Let the game begin!!!".
Immediately, the whole entrances opened. The skeleton's mouth opened wide,and all the teams dashed inside.
Lisa was busy shouting," Go!
Go!
Hurry!!",to her teammates.
All the teams entered,and the entrance was shot.
Christiana and her team saw a map.Hanging on a strange looking hook.
"The map!", Blessing said.About to near it.
Treasure quickly spotted something moving.
He stopped Blessing immediately and said,drawing out his sword," The map is hanging on something ".
Slowly, he uses his sword to try and remove the map.
All of a sudden, a yellow eye appeared from up.Frightening them immediately.
The students at the Golden castle gasped,when the camera showed the yellow eyes.
" What's that?!"
Some of them asked.Lookng worried.
To their greatest surprise,a giant robotic scorpion crawled down from the ceiling.The map was hanging on it's tail.
"Oh my creativity!", Blessing was stunned.
The scorpion shrieked at them.
Quickly,all of them drew their swords out and pointed at it.
Just then,they heard John's voice.
He was still at the headquarters with Miss Angela.Watching all the students.
" Your job is to get the map from the scorpion king.
Do it before it eliminates you".
"How do we get the map from this scorpion?
I hate scorpions", the girl in their team said in fear.
Christiana and Treasure began to think.
The boy in their team tried to move to the back of the scorpion.
The scorpion noticed it and turned to attack the boy.
The girl tried to move quickly to it's back.But the scorpion faced her quickly.
Swooshing it's sharp claws at her.
Blessing quickly dived in and pushed the girl away.
The scorpion went after them and tried to chop their heads off with it's claws.
Quickly, Blessing and the girl rolled under.
The scorpion quickly turned, so that they won't reach it's tail.
It attacks them with it's claws. Quickly, Treasure and Christiania used their swords to push it's claws back.
It shrieked angrily.
On seeing this,Treasure and Christiania came up with an idea.
" Confusion! ",the both of them said.
Christiana looked at Treasure, who also looked back at her.
" Em...go ahead",Christiana said.Facing the scorpion's side.
Treasure could see that Christiana was trying to avoid him.He didn't like it at all.
"The scorpion seems a bit confused.It doesn't to where to attack.
If someone moves here,it follows.But if another person move the other way,it changes it's movement.
So that means we'll have to move in different directions,if we want that map".
" Okay then.
Who will get the map?",Blessing asked.
"Christiana will", Treasure said.Dodging the scorpion's claws.
Christiana looks at him.
" What?
Why me?!",she asked.Rolling to the other side.
"You're quick and good in retrieving things.
You can do it", Treasure said.
Christiana gasped and asked," Good at retrieving things?!
Do I look like a dog to you?".
Treasure shrugged his shoulders and said,"Sort of".
Christiana gasped,while Blessing laughed and used her sword to block the claws.
"No problem then.
I promise you'll eat your words later", she said.Placing her sword back at her side.
" Come on,..let's do this",she said.Standing boldly.
The scorpion saw this.It thought she wanted to fight.
It shrieked and ran towards her.
Christiana still stood.Waiting for the scorpion.
"Why isn't she moving?!"
"Run!!"
"She'll get herself eliminated"
The students panicked.
But the girls knew that their girl had a plan.
When the scorpion for close.
Blessing began to run to it's back.The Scorpion saw this, and went after her.
Christiana ran after it.
Blessing saw it coming after her,and quickly back flipped.Dodging the incoming attack.
The scorpion turned to find her,and saw Treasure and the other two,running towards it's tail.
It wanted to attack,when it felt someone jumping on it's back.
It was Christiania.
The scorpion shrieked and began to shake.
"Wow!
I thought robots don't know how to feel things?", she asked.Holding the scorpion's back tightly,so that she won't fall.
The scorpion tried to use it's stinger,where the map was,to sting her.
" Ah!",Christiana shouted and dodged it.
"It's using it's stinger.
Try to get the map, and we'll try our best to distra t it", Treasure said.
He aims his sword for one of the scorpion's claw.
It wanted to use it and drag Christiana.
The scorpion shrieked and tried to use it's other claw.
Quickly, Blessing and the boy in their team,aimed the sword the second claw.
Pinning it to the wall.
Quickly, Christiana held the stinger,as it moved round uncontrollably.
" Stay down!",she said.Holding the map.
Quickly, she grabbed the map from the tail.
"Got it!", she shouted.
As soon as she got it,the scorpion shut down.
Then a voice said," Congratulations.
You've got the map ".
" Yes!!",the students at the castle cheered.
Treasure,Blessing and the boy,took their sword.
They walked up to Christiana and asked,"What does the map state?".
Christiana rolled it open.
She saw different diagrams and steps on the map.
"We are here now,that's the entrance. So I think the next place is....."
She Points a fat octopus Queen.
"...the Octopus Queen's den".
As soon as she said that,.. the wall in front of them, opened wide.
Showing them a dark and scary part.
They looked.
" I guess we have to be going,if we want to make it quick ",Treasure said.
" You're right.
Let's go",the boy in their team also said.
They moved.Following the dark Part.
The wall behind them quickly closed.
Lisa on the other hand,was still fighting their own robotic scorpion.
She was trying to the map,when she heard John's voice saying,"Team Golden castle are on the move.
Team Higher ground has been eliminated.
Hurry up pirates"
"Not on my watch", she said angrily.Using her sword to chop off the tail of the scorpion,and grabbing the map.
" You can't beat me team Golden castle.
I'm coming",she thought to herself, while opening the map.
Back at the castle, Madam Elizabeth came into the hall to watch the show.
A teacher told her that their team where at the front.
She rejoiced and said,"That's good news.
Just watch and see.Our castle will win at the end.
Let..let me sit down and watch".
She said.
Sitting at the front.
"The students from the Golden castle are doing great", John said to Miss Angela.
Miss Angela smirked and said," They are more than great John.
They are extraordinary ".
Still walking along the dark path. There were glowing skulls on the wall,that lightened up the path for them.
Christiana opened the map and checked.
She then said,"According to the map, we should be arriving at the octopus Queen's den in.. 3..2..1"
They all stopped.
They looked and found themselves in a dark area.
There was no light.
"Here's dark.
How do we find our way now?", the girl in their team asked.
Treasure then said,collecting the map and looking at it," It shows here that the octopus Queen's den is here.
But how do we know if we're indeed in the octopus Queen's den?".
"We can't tell until this place is lightened up", Blessing said. Moving back into the path they came from.
" Who knows,we might find a switch or changeover around ",she chuckles.
Christiana laughs and says to her.Turning to her direction," On pirate island?
What's a changeover doing...."
She paused immediately.
She became terrified.
Blessing then said,"What's a changeover doing what?..
Complete your statement na..
Com..."
She feels her back against something big.
She pauses immediately.
Treasure was about to hand the map back to Christiana, when he saw the fear on her face.
"What happened?",he asked.Facing where she was looking.
He too became stunned.
There was a huge figure like a snake,more like a tentacle, standing behind Blessing.
Blessing swallowed her saliva and said to Christiana, "I think we're indeed in the octopus Queen's den".
Unexpectedly,the tentacle wrapped itself around her,and swept her off her feet.
" Ahh!",Blessing shouted.
"Blessing!", they shouted too.
The tentacle carried her into the dark area.
That's when they began to hear someone singing loudly.
The team drew out their swords and stood together. With their back against each other.
Back at the castle,Ella and Hannah laughed,when the tentacle grabbed Blessing.
" Serves her right",Ell a said.
The girls were worried,as they thought that their friends where in trouble.
The team stood together firmly.In case another tentacle showed up to carry them.
They saw a golden crown, glowing above them.
It was a bit further from their side.
All of a sudden, the lights came on.
Starting from the ground to the ceiling.
Revealing the mighty octopus Queen.
She was really fat,and she occupied the space with her tentacles.
She was singing and dancing.
The team dodged a tentacle that almost wiped then away.
But in the processing of dodging the attack, the girl in their team almost fell into a dark hole.
Quickly, she was saved by the boy in the team.
They looked and found different holes on the ground.
"This is huge.
How do we get pass this...this fatso?", the boy asked.
The tentacles swooshed again,and they moved back.
They began to look.
The octopus Queen was so fat,that it was hard for someone to locate the entrance to the next place.
Christiana was looking, when she spotted a strange looking statue behind the octopus Queen.
It was a pirate, with something round on it's wrist.
Christiana looked closely and discovered that it was a door knob.
She smiles and says," Found it!"
"Where?", Treasure asked.
She points behind the octopus Queen and says," The statue behind the octopus Queen has a door knob. I believe that's the entrance ".
Treasure looks and said, smiling at Christiana," Smart!
You found it".
She wanted to smile with him, but she didn't. Instead she hummed in agreement and faced the other way.Leaving Treasure Unhappy.
"Hey!!
Don't forget that I'm still here", Blessing shouting, as the tentacle kept on swooshing her round.
Christiana tapped her forehead and said," Great,I almost forgot my friend.
How do we get her down? "
"Here's what we'll do. You two can try and help Blessing out, while Christiana and I will see how the door opens".
" Okay",the both of them agreed.
As they moved, the tentacles came towards them in speed. Almost hitting them with force.Quickly they moved back.
That's when Lisa and her team showed up from the other side.
Lisa saw Christiana and the others.
She scoffed and said, "Well thank my lucky stars. They're still here.
That means they stand no chance of beating us".
She smiles proudly.
Lisa suddenly heard Blessing shouting.
She looked up and began to laugh.
Christiana and the others heard her voice,and faced the other side.
They saw Lisa.
Lisa and her team, drew their swords out and shouted," For team Diamond ".
They charged at the octopus Queen.
Treasure shooked his head.
" Amazing!
She thinks attacking is the best option ".
He looks at the other two and said," We can't let her win.
Go and help Blessing. Christiana let's go".
Without wasting any more time,they rushed.
Christiana and Treasure were avoiding the tentacles from nearing them. If anyone neared them, they either Dodge or jump over it.
Lisa and her team were fighting off the tentacles that came their way.
But the more they fought, the more the tentacles kept hitting them.
A boy in her team,wanted to be a hero.
He used his sword to hook one of the tentacles. Unknown to him, the octopus Queen began to spin round.
Her tentacles went round in speed.Almost hitting all of them,including Treasure and Christiana. Both of them bent down.
The boy,who had hooked himself to the tentacle, lost his balance and fell into one of the holes.
"One of diamond has been eliminated", John announced.
" Go guys!
You can do it ",Ganiyat and the others cheered.
The Golden castle were hoping for their team to make it.
Because of the spin,made by the octopus Queen,the tentacle holding Blessing,released her at the wrong time.Almost allowing her to fall inside the hole too.
But luckily for her,another tentacle came from below, and flings her up.
" No,no,no,no!",she shouted and grabbed a tentacle.
Lisa saw what happened to her teammate.
This was unacceptable.
She realized that attacking the octopus Queen wasn't the best option at all.
"This year's tasks are strange.
If I can't destroy the octopus Queen and find my way out.
Then how I'm I supposed to escape?", she wondered.
Just then, her eyes net with Christiana and Treasure.
They were dodging the tentacles.
Lisa became curious to know where they were heading to.
" Now where are those Golden castle going to! ",she asked.Still looking.
She immediately spotted the statue behind the octopus Queen, and also saw the door knob.
She gasped and chuckled.
" Oh my goodness.
Very smart!.
They found the entrance already.
But I won't let them get through before me",she smirks.
Quickly, she calls the attention of her remaining teammates. And shows them the statue.
"Our goal is to keep those Golden castle away from the entrance.
That's our gate way to freedom.
Do whatever it takes to eliminate them".
" Got it"
Quickly, they moved.
As soon as they moved, three other teams showed up.
They saw were Lisa and her team where heading to. So they followed them from behind.
The two in Blessing's team, tried to get on the tentacles. But the more they tried,the more they ended up falling close to the hole.
"It's useless.
Blessing!
Can you try and make your way down?", the boy asked.
" I'll try",she said.Releasing her hands from the tentacle she was holding.
She landed on another tentacle. But one came from nowhere and hit her with force.
"Be careful!", the girl panicked.
She nearly lost her grip,but grabbed on to it.
Finally,Treasure and Christiana got to the statue unharmed.
The both of them decided to check the knob.If it was the right part to open the door.That's when Lisa dashed in with her sword.
Attacking the both of them.
Christiana and Treasure blocked the attack quickly.
"What a pity!
Do you think that you have what it takes to defeat a reigning champion like me?
Not really", she said.
" We don't just think Lisa.We know.
That's why you're afraid that we'll defeat you at the end",Christiana fired back.
Lisa scoffs and says, as her team cane to side her quickly, "Afraid?
Oh pls!
We have reasons and prove that we'll win at the end.
And we'll show you two just how.
Come on team!
Let's eliminate team Golden castle".
Immediately, they entered into a sword fight.
Things were becoming interesting, as the people at the headquarters watched.
John laughed and said to Miss Angela," It looks like these two team are dragging.
This is great".
"At the end,only one team will retrieve the golden sword", Miss Angela said.Relaxing on her seat.
She checked her wristwatch and realized that the time was going.
" They'll have to hurry up.
Time is not on their side ",she said.
Miss Angela looked.
Her mind was on the students from the Golden castle. She had faith in them,that they'll win the challenge.
" Come on team,you can do this",she said in a silent tone of voice.
While fighting, the other teams arrived just in time.
They tried to open the door,but couldn't. Because their rivals wouldn't let them.So they too began to fight.
They joined in the fight.
Christiana eliminated two people from different teams,while Treasure eliminated a boy from Lisa's team.
The octopus Queen also eliminated some of them,as her tentacles moved everywhere.
More teams arrived.
Blessing, who was still stuck on the tentacles, saw that both Treasure and Christiana were in trouble.
She then called the attention of the two below.
"You guys should go and help Christiana and Treasure. They need help.
Don't.. Don't worry about me.I'll find s way to get down from this fatso here".
" Okay then",the both said and rushed to help their teammates.
The octopus Queen kept on dancing and singing.
Swooshing her tentacles everywhere.
Blessing held on to the tentacle she was on,and said in annoyance, "She's just singing!
Wait till I get my hands on...Wow!".
She moves again.
The students were still fighting seriously.
Lisa could see that the other teams had arrived.
She saw this as an opportunity to make her escape with her team.
Quickly, she moved out of the fight,and went to the door.
The remaining two in her team,joined in,and they began to push the statue.
To their greatest surprise, the statue didn't open.
"What now?!
Why isn't it opening?!", she shouted.
Attracting the attention of the other teams.
They stopped and faced her.
Lisa and her team saw this.
They thought the teams would fight them.But instead, Treasure and Christiana moved closer and checked.
The pushed the statue, but it didn't open.
" It didn't open ",Treasure said.
" Does that mean we're trapped?
Or are we pushing the wrong door?",someone asked.
They began to look round if they'll see another statue.
Some of the teams saw another statue at the other side, and decided to go and check it out.
Treasure and Christiana had a feeling that the statue in front of them was the right one.But how do they open it.
Lisa didn't want to follow the other teams.
She knew that if she stood close to Christiana and Treasure, she'll find her answer.Because they always find a way.
Blessing noticed the sudden change of direction, from the other students.
She looked down and saw her teammates and Lisa,standing close to the first statue they found.
She shouted, "What's the problem?
Why are they moving up and down?".
" Oh be quiet you fly!
Remain silent",Lisa shouted.Acting as if she knows everything.
Blessing gasped and shouted, "Oh my creativity!
Listen to this fowl.
Hey Treasure!, if we succeed in opening that door,make sure you throw that vulture before she double criss us"
"How dare you?!", Lisa sparks.
Blessing sticks out her tongue at her.
Lisa frowned.
The girl in their team, spotted a small round circle on the statue's chest.She touched it and called the attention of Christiana.
"Christiana look.
I think something is missing here",she said.Christiana and Treasure looked.
Lisa immediately drew closer to see the circle.
She immediately jumped into conclusion.Saying to them,like a smart person," A missing piece.
We're looking for a small round rock.
That should be the key.
Yes.
Let's go and find it team"
Lisa was proud of her intelligence.
Treasure then asked,"How can we find a small round rock? "
"If your team can't find it,then let the champions do it", she bragged and winked at him.
Moving to a different corner with her team.
" A small round rock?
Na wa o!
All hail professor Lisa,my foot",Blessing mocked.Making her way down. That's when the octopus Queen moved again.Singing and dancing.
Blessing grew angry and shouted,"How can I stop this fat lady from dancing?
She'll kill me!!".
The students searching laughed.Making Blessing angry.
"Don't worry dear.
We're still here", Christiana said.
Blessing just held on to the tentacle.
" If I move now,maybe Mrs ugly would fling me finally".
The octopus Queen kept on singing.
She sang,'My treasures are my beauty.And my beauty is also my gateway to freedom'.
Blessing scoffed and said, "Not only beauty".
Christiana looked at the small round circle on the statue's chest.
She was sure that the statue didn't need a small round rock to complete it,but something else.
" One thing is for sure.This small round circle don't need a small round rock to complete it, but something different.
But what?",Christiana wondered.
Blessing heard her.
She too began to think.Hoping she could get an answer.
That's when the octopus Queen moved again.Singing the same song again.
Blessing groaned angrily and looked at the octopus Queen.
She wanted to curse her,when her eyes met with something on her golden crown.
A golden coin.
Blessing kept on looking,as she sang the song again.
Blessing listened to the song and realized that the song was actually a riddle.
"Oh my creativity!
So you ugly queen turned out to be so beautiful", she said.Rising up immediately.
John and the others saw this.
A smile appeared on both his and Miss Angela's face.
" She's got the clue",Miss Angela smiled.
Blessing remembered what John said,about the Golden coins,being very important to them.
She began to climb the tentacle.Heading for the top.
A boy from another team saw her and shouted,"Hey!,where are you going to?
Do you want to die?!"
They laughed.
Christiana and the others looked.
"Blessing what are you doing?!", Treasure asked.
Blessing then said to him.Repeating the song," My treasures are my beauty And my beauty is also my gateway to freedom ".
" What?",the girl couldn't get.
Christiana looked at Blessing, and straight at the place she was heading.
She spotted something shining on the Golden crown.And saw the Golden coins.
When the octopus Queen moved again and sang the song, Christiana listened .
She immediately realized that the gateway to their freedom was on the octopus Queen's crown.
She smiled happily and said,"Keep going B!"
The others didn't understand.
Back at the castle, Madam Elizabeth was shouting.
She wanted to know what Blessing was still doing on the octopus Queen's tentacles.
Gracious,who was listening to the song, said to the others quickly, "We're going to make it!
The song is a riddle".
The girls looked.
Gracious repeated it for them, and pointed to the crown.
They gasped and began to cheer.
" Go team go!
Go team go!
Go tram go!"
Aunty Onome, who was with them,began to cheer too.
Others wondered why they were cheering.Until a girl that heard Gracious,told them that Blessing was Heading for the coin that'll help their team.
The rumour went round, and they all began to cheer.
Madam Elizabeth was curious to know their reason for shouting. Then a teacher told her.Pointing the crown.
She smiled and began to shout,"I knew it.
I said it from the beginning ".
Blessing jumped from tentacle to the other.Until she landed on the octopus Queen's shoulder.
The other teams began to suspect her action.Most especially Lisa.
" Why is she going for the crown? ",she asked one of her teammate.
That's when she spotted the Golden coin.
Lisa gasped, and groaned angrily.
" Of course!
The missing piece was the Golden coin".
Blessing climbed the head of the octopus Queen, and stretched her hand towards the crown.
She got close to the crown,and removed the Golden coin.
"Got it!!", she shouted.
" Yes!!!",Christiana and the others cheered.
The Golden castle also cheered.
John and his members cheered as well.
They were amazed by the wisdom of the Golden castle students.
Miss Angela watched with pride.
"Great job B!" Treasure said.
Blessing smiled.
"Yes!
Great job!", Lisa said.
" Let's see how you and your team make it out here with that Golden coin.
Come on let's get that coin ",Lisa shouted.
All the students charged.
They began to struggle to climb the octopus Queen and collect the coin from Blessing.
" Ah!!
Thieves!!",Blessing screamed.
The octopus Queen began to spin round again.Making it really difficult for them to climb.
