Putting him to the ground, Markus immediately sent a sharp jab to Attuma's neck then proceeded to wrapped himself around him. Normally that would be enough to put down any man but the mission brief already stated that Atlanteans were stringer and more durable than humans so more was needed to out down this hulk of an Altantean. Wrapping himself around Attuma like a giant serpent, Markus began tightening his hold on the Atlantean. He felt this was just a waste of time, Attuma was powerful, yes and there was no denying that but he was still nothing in front of them.
Their strength and power limit wasn't set to a particular thing and above all. Markus was trained to kill then ask questions later. Five(5) years of training may seem small and insignificant compared to the decades that Attuma spent perfecting his craft but Markus was part of the first generation of Spartans. He knew what type of training he had undergone under the hands of the King and his trusted helpers.
Left to him, this fight could have ended before it even began but because his orders were to "Put Attuma in his place", so he couldnt just kill him. If training had taught him anything, it was to never go against any order unless it contradicts that given by the king previously and this didn't do so.
"Please give up and you wouldn't die" Markus said as his body constricted itself around attuma's neck even more and more like an actual snake.
Markus was using his techno-otganic cells to soften his bones thus allowing him to wrap his legs around Attuma even tighter. Attuma on the other hand, didn't look like he would give up anytime soon but his body however was saying a different thing.
With Markus's hit to his throat, he found himself limp. He didn't know if this was because of the strength behind the hit or if Markus had hit a nerve, he didn't know which it was but he knew that it basically marked the end of the fight. Atlantean physiology was vastly different from human physiology even though Atlanteans descended from humans but it still had some similarities.
Worse, Attuma could tell that Markus didn't know the result of his hit from the actions that followed it. Lying dangerously close to death's door, Attuma finally tapped out to save his life. He may be a warrior but he was also a leader and he had people to worry about. He could tell Elysium's intentions from the result of this attack alone.
With that, Markus released him and immediately jumped to his feet while Attuma laid on the ground exhausted
"God damn it!" One of the Spartans shouted
"You owe me 10 credits" another answered as the rest of the team laughed.
While this was going on, the man who had ordered the entire thing was on a picnic several billion light-years away from the Earth. The once red and barren planet was now fully revived and covered entirely with plants of various types insects and animals of various types running around the exotic planet.
Somewhere on the newly revived planet, two beings could be seen together on a somewhat large clearing that was covered with evenly cut grass. One of them could be seen sitting crossed legged on a large cloth and the other could be seen lying on the ground with his head on the other's lap.
"Which do you think will be better, giving everyone the same superpowers or depowering everyone" James asked
"Both are extremely flawed" Gali replied after a brief thought
"How so?"
"Because Depowering everyone would be an incredibly bad idea in a world where many people are only surviving simply because they have abilities. Most of the students we have at the school have enemies who want them dead but they have only survived so long because they have abilities"
"That makes sense then what about the other option?"
"Have you heard the phrase 'not all fingers are equal', there will surely be this group of people whose powers will be stronger than the rest of the world. Let's take you for example, if some other gives everyone on Earth Monet-like powers, do you think you will be stronger or be at the same level with the rest of the world"
