"IF YOU WANT, WE CAN CANCEL DINNER?"
I blinked at Xeros in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
"The dinner thing I invited you to?" He raised a brow, "That was supposed to be today, but I can just say an emergency come up."
"Oh yeah, sorry, my head went there for a second," I muttered, remembering. "But no, I want to go."
"Seriously?" Xeros scrunched his face up. "You know, I think you're making this out to be a lot more exciting in your head. It's most likely going to be awful and boring."
I grinned sheepishly. "I probably am, but I've never been to anything like this before...I want to know what it's like."
Xeros ran a hand through his hair, heaving a sigh, "Okay, then, we can go down to the police after the dinner. We shouldn't be there for more than an hour or so anyway."
"Oh yeah, that's another question I wanted to ask," I placed my phone down on the table. "Why is the dinner on at twelve? Isn't that more like lunch or brunch?"
