"He just left" I answered Jide, pressing the phone tighter to my ears. It has only been a day and that dick already transferred my stay-at-home-wife allowance into my account. One hundred and fifty thousand naira for two weeks, I think I’ll survive.
"Well, are you going to do it?" he asked again like he asked for the tenth time this morning. Apparently, Jide thinks it’s a great idea to revamp the house and spend the money on food but I think sitting at home and ordering pizza is the better idea.
"I’m not sure, Jide" I answered truthfully. Michael would flip if he came home to find out that I had completely repositioned the entire house.
"You trust me, don’t you?" I sighed in resignation.
"I know I’m going to regret this, Jide" he chuckled and I smiled at his carefree laughter.
"You won’t, I promise"
"Fine, pick me up in thirty" I muttered climbing up the stairs.
"I’m at work, Babe" I scoffed.
"Of course, you’re at w-" he chuckled.
