Keenan is sitting on his front steps when I pull up in front of his house. Beside him, sat a young woman with a side cut and a sleeve of tattoos. I catch my breath before stepping out of the car and after looking around, I start feeling like a douchebag for choosing to drive this car today.
"Are you jas, my broer? Why would you come here in that kak?" that is a better greeting than what I expected, if I am being honest. He stands as I approach, puffing out his chest as I knew he would. The girl beside him stands as well, flashing me the knife in her waistband in a dramatic flair. "I didn't come here to cause any shit." I surrender my hands to him, eager to get the unnecessary drama over with so we can get to why I came to this dump in the first place.
