Benjamin's house echoed with roars of loud cries. So loud and hysterical that if someone was to pass by, they would be greatly disturbed by the sound of the person's expression of pain.
The house was dark, a depressing dark that sent shivers down the spine. Inside, the cries seemed louder and they led to Benjamin and Melody's bedroom.
Inside, the twins sat on Benjamin and Melody's bed and held them in their arms. Giovanni held Benjamin, while Genesis held Melody. They both bawled and screamed until their voices strained and turn hoarse. Their eyes turned a bright shade of ember yellow and their faces turned red.
Their clothes and faces were covered in tears and blood as they held the people that they saw as second parents closer to them, gently rocking as they continued to cry in disbelief.
This was so unreal to them, they couldn't believe it because a few hours ago they were alive, they were fine, and now they were dead. Maybe it would've been different if they had stayed as Melody had suggested.
…
"Are you sure that you don't want to stay?" Melody asked, walking towards the front door with the twins in front of her as they opened it, "We have a lot of things that we have to decide on, Mel, we thought going back to our house would help," Giovanni said, turning around to face her as she flashed them a weak smile, "Okay, but try not to overthink and if you need extra support, Ben and I are here," she reassured as the twins grinned before leaning forward to kiss her cheeks.
"Thanks, Mel, we'll see you later, tell the old man to don't wait for us," Genesis said as Melody giggled, "Alright boys, we'll see you guys later, I love you, okay," she said as Giovanni and Genesis smiled, "We love you too," Giovanni said before they walked away.
That was the last time they saw Melody, 'I love you' was their last words to each other.
The twins went home just as they told Melody. They were thinking, contemplating whether or not they should trust Koa. His appearance was unexpected, even when Genesis attacked his sister. He still came to them calm with no visible emotion of hate, anger, or discomfort, which was odd for him because he hated the twins.
"I don't think we should trust him," Genesis said, pacing in front of his brother, who sat on the couch glaring at the floor, "What about Rosalie?" Giovanni asked as Genesis scoffed, "Another reason why we can't trust him, he knew we would help if Rosalie's involve, last time I checked, he told Benjamin that he wouldn't accept Rosalie as his biological sister nor will he care for her, so why is he trying to help us get her back?" He questioned as Giovanni shrugged.
"He wants to get rid of Mateo," he said as Genesis nodded, "Then why come to us, he can do it himself, after all, Mateo did kill his sister, why not get revenge himself, he's planning something," Genesis said before mumbling as he stared off into space.
All of a sudden, Giovanni's phone began to ring. He furrowed, pulling out his phone to see Benjamin calling, "Who is it?" Genesis asked as his brother looked up at him, "It's Benjamin," he replied before answering the call, "Hey, Ben, what's u-
Cries suddenly left the phone as Giovanni pulled it away from his ear, "What the-
He mumbled as the cries continued, "Who is this?" He asked, but the person cried and cried, "I'm sorry," they sobbed, causing Giovanni to grow annoyed, "Who the hell is this?" He demanded as Genesis moved closer to him, "They're dead, he killed them," the voice cried, which caused Giovanni's heart to drop to his stomach.
"W-Who's dead?" He stuttered as his brother frown, "He killed her, she didn't deserve to die-
"WHO FUCKING DIE!?!?!?!" Giovanni yelled as his body filled up with anger. But there was no response, the person hung up the phone.
"We need to get to Benjamin's, something's wrong," Genesis said before they rushed to Benjamin's house.
…
Upon arriving, they noticed this aura. It was odd for this type of aura to surround Benjamin's house for obvious reasons of course. The twins were nervous as they stared at the house. They didn't know what to expect, the phone call was weird and hysterical.
Who's dead? Who killed who?
Those questions ran through their minds as they stood in front of the house trying to hear the sound of two familiar heartbeats, but there were none.
"Alright, enough with the suspicion, let's go," Genesis said before walking to the door with his brother close behind. Genesis frowned as he reached the door, it was open and he pushed it.
The house was pitch black and completely still no sound was heard. This wasn't the house that the twins grew up in, it felt like a house they had no business entering.
"Ben?! Mel?!" Giovanni yelled as they entered, "Why is it so dark in here?" Genesis mumbled as they walked around the house before entering the kitchen. They suddenly froze at the entrance when they saw the pool of blood on the floor by the dining table.
All of a sudden, Giovanni began to shake in anger, the kitchen reeked of a certain someone's scent, "It's Melody's, isn't it?" Genesis asked as his face was pale white, "As well as Mateo and that bastard Koa," he said as tears welled up in Genesis's eyes, "I told you, we shouldn't have trusted him," he whispered before walking away to the staircase.
The twins walked up the stairs as their hearts grew heavier and heavier. The smell of blood grew stronger with every step closer to Benjamin and Melody's bedroom. Their chest tightened as they stopped in front of the door before Giovanni turned the knob and pushed it open.
There they were.
The twins' world crumbled before their eyes that filled up with tears. Genesis's knees buckled as he fell to the ground gasping for air, "N-No!" He whispered as tears trickled down his face. Giovanni left his brother's side as he slowly walked toward the bed on Benjamin's side.
His face was void as tears trickled down it. He looked at the man that he loved dearly, the man that took his father in and then took him and his brother in, the man he saw as a father, and looked up to. He looked peaceful as if he was asleep, but the moment Giovanni reached out and touched his face, he lost it.
He broke down and began to cry.
"Ben?"
His heart shattered as he called out to him and there was no response. He was too late.
…
It felt like an eternity after the twins sat there crying their hearts out and now it was pouring. The brothers were completely emotionless as they wrapped Benjamin and Melody's bodies with the white covering from their beds before taking them out of the house.
It was still dark outside as they walked towards the barn before passing it and walking towards their parents' grave. Gently placing the bodies on the floor, Genesis walked back to the barn to retrieve two shovels before walking back to his brother, who caught the shovel that was tossed to him.
They began to dig. Digging in the cold pouring rain until their clothes and hair were soaked, but they didn't care, they kept digging. Digging until the holes were deep and wide enough for them to bury the only family they had left, which soon was.
Once they were finished, the bodies were brought closer to the graves before the brothers got in to gently place the bodies to rest. The hearts ache to know that Rosalie's last sight of her grandparents was the day before she got kidnapped and now she wasn't going to see them again.
So as the bodies lay gently in their graves, the twins kneeled above them before kissing their foreheads, bedding them goodbye forever until it was their turn to lay and rest, and that was the official end of Benjamin and Melody Garcia.
…
Mateo's room was pitch black, it was empty, completely still, with no sound, no breathing, and no heartbeat. There was no one there, but an open bathroom door.
Through the creak of the door showed a young woman. She looked poor, homeless, and completely crazy. Her clothes were dirty, ripped, and worn out. Her hair was messy, dull, and tangled. And her body was skinny, but her stomach was bulging out.
She stood in front of the sink, staring into the mirror with an empty look in her dark eyes. She stared at herself or an empty shell of herself before she began to laugh. she laughed and laughed until it began to darken the atmosphere, and she snapped. Screaming as loud as she can, Rosalie punched the mirror and it shattered and fell apart.
Her hand began to bleed but she felt no pain. Looking down at the shattered pieces, one stood out from the rest. It was bigger, pointer, and sharp, so she picked it up.
Rosalie watched the dangerous weapon with glee in her eyes before a knock on the door grabbed her attention.
"Rosalie? It's me, Koa."
