Chương 31: CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

Chris catches Rose and Travis inside the stall and got angry. Regina forces Rose to put on one of her gowns or else she won't accompany her to the party.
TWENTY-NINE
I walked down the hall and kept my gaze steady on his. I never once wavered, neither did he. His eyes followed my every move with detailed precision.
Although my legs were shaking from his eyes, I managed to walk down the stairs without tripping over my foot.
I then moved my gaze to his arm in which another hand was clamped on, I looked up to see a woman hanging by his side.
She had stunning black hair which was in a high ponytail to accentuate her diamond shaped face and deep green almond eyes, her lips were filled with red lipstick and her dress matched the color of her eyes.
She reminded me of a voodoo doll with her excessive eyeliner that covered almost her entire eyes and heavy lipstick which made her look overboard.
I clenched my fists tightly with my eyes still on them when she whispered something into his ears and they both chuckled. His eyes slide to mine and he gave me a lopsided, mischievous smirk.
Then I realized what he was doing. He intentionally brought this lady here with him so he could make me jealous.
"Everyone's eyes are on us" Regina whispered with an ecstatic smile as we walked to a table.
"Your job for tonight is to stay by my side and attend to my needs. Every other thing isn't important, do you understand?" Regina said as she took out her phone to call someone.
"Yes ma'am" I replied with my eyes still on the couple of the event. His hand snaked around her tiny waist as she kept on whispering gibberish into ears which made him smile like an idiot.
If his plan was to make me jealous then he is doing a great job on it. Unable to handle it anymore, I was about to step forward to them when Regina held me back.
"Where do you think you are going? Here, hold my purse for me" she dumped the purse on my hand.
"Hey, beautiful" Justin came over and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Bye, Justin" she said with a scowl and removed his hand from her shoulder.
"Oh come on, don't be like that to your fiance" he said with a smirk.
"For your information, we aren't engaged yet so watch the way you talk" she looked away from his direction and he sighed.
"Oh, you" he pointed at me and I quickly hid my face from his view.
"It's you from that day, how are you?"
"Don't answer him, Rosaline" Regina warned.
"Wait Rosaline? Where have I heard that name before?" he looked at me.
"Enough with your immature lines, Justin and just get out"
"Calm down, beautiful. I will be back in a minute. Don't miss me too much" he left with a smirk.
"I wouldn't even dare" She rolled her eyes.
"I thought he was your fiance. Why are you so hostile towards him?" I asked with curiosity.
"Not everything in life is our choice" she said with melancholy as her eyes rested on a someone.
I followed her gaze to see a guy with brown locks and in a suit who was also staring at her the same manner she did, with love and pain.
"Go get me a drink" she said with a cracked voice.
I left the table to get her drink when I was stopped by someone, not just one but two. I rolled my eyes at the couple as a greeting.
"Isn't this my best girl?" Chris said with a smirk as he wrapped his hand around her shoulder.
"Jade, meet Rosaline. Rosaline, meet Jade, my date for the night" he emphasized on the word date.
"Nice to meet you. I am Jade" The voodoo doll brought her hand for me to shake.
"I am Rosaline" I gave her a fabricated smile which I was sure, came out as a grimace.
"Would you mind spending time with us? I am sure Jade would love to know you more, right?" he looked at her for her response.
"Oh, no problem" she let out forcibly.
"Oh, I would love to but I have work to do and I wouldn't want to be the third wheel here" I said and left even before they could answer.
"Give me a drink" I said to the bartender who gave me a flirtatious smile.
"Pretty girl like you wants to get drunk tonight, Huh?" he asked as he mixed a drink.
"When a girl gat a lot of shit running through her head, the best option is to get drunk" I said as I took the drink from him.
"Here you go" I drop the drink and sat down on a chair.
This party is going to be a long one.

"Hahahaha!"
I rolled my eyes for the umpteenth time as the voodoo doll and Chris laughed for the most ridiculous thing ever.
During the party, Chris and his female friend decided to come say hi to Regina and ever since they arrived, irritation has been vividly written on my face and Chris was enjoying it too much.
They have been dancing, drinking and laughing at nothing in particular just so they could annoy me. The urge to wring the voodoo doll's throat is increasing every dying minute.
"I..I will be back" I stood up and left the hall so I could get away from that suffocating place.
As I walked down the empty and dimly lit hall upstairs. I began hearing voices coming from somewhere near the hall.
"Please don't do this! I am begging you" I heard a familiar voice crying.
"It will be quick if you just stop moving" I heard a guy's voice.
"Please sir!!" the girl pleaded.
I followed the voices and found two bodies leaning on the wall, a maid was hitting the guy's chest as he pushed her into wall.
I stepped closer to see the faces and shock vibrated through my bones as I saw who they were.
Georgina and Grayson.
And he was about to rape her.
