{Two thirds or more actually. But with Valeria's blood essence digestion skill that amount is nothing. She can probably drain a hundred or so people before she get completely full.}

Anyway, dinner time. We eat in our penthouse suite by making use of the terrific room service this place offers. The food is good, though it does not even come close to matching Pata's divine creations.
Afterwards, the girls get invited over to Titus's suite so he can show them his toy collection. Apparently, it is normal for a grown man to have a completely miniature reconstruction of the battle of Alesia.
In the process of inviting the girls over, Titus also became acquainted with Melody. She seemed suspicious of his motives at first but when he told her about his toy collection she dropped all wariness. Nerds are harmless as she put it.
Valeria excused herself and went out for some fun. I'm sure she will be fine and otherwise Titus will probably take care of it.
Melody and I retire to our bedroom early and have a peaceful evening.
The next morning we decide to go to the souvenir, game and shop section. Both Quinn and Cassidy want a whole bunch of souvenirs and of course they want to win all of them from the stalls all around.
Thankfully, Valeria seems very eager to take the girls to plunder all the stalls. With her stats and alleged experience with amusement parks she should win almost any prize available.
Melody is less interested in winning prizes as her souvenirs. She prefers entering the mana souvenir shops around and just buying the souvenirs.
I think about getting some souvenirs too but beside myself, who would I get them for? I don't really have any fellow carriers I'm still close with. People at work, what would I even get them? Thez can just buy most of the things here through Vespasian.
{Sigh. Guy, souvenirs aren't meant to be given due to rarity. They are a nice gift that symbolizes you sharing the joy you felt with people you appreciate. It shows that you remember them even if you don't see them every day. Don't think too much, just make sure to get me something!}
You know, without that last part you would really have seemed like a genuinely helpful person.

I'll just pretend I didn't hear that because I'm not asking what that means.

So I rifle through a dozen souvenir shops and buy various little items that I think people might like. Turns out, VIP tickets include huge discounts on souvenirs too.
{Um, Guy…}
I do not like the sound of that. Whenever you use that hesitant tone of voice you bring bad news. Is it the halls and their paragons attacking a dungeon? Is my vacation canceled? Did Darwin break something important and we're all about to die?
{If only it were so simple…}

I immediately drop what I've been looking at and storm out of the shop. Melody looks confused and asks me what's going on but I ignore her and hurry towards the direction they were headed when we parted ways.
{Guy, calm down! Nothing really happened, they just got a little scare. Titus is with them and they are well taken care of.}
The more Navi refuses to talk to me the more worried I get. As I approach the area where the stalls are located, I see a crowd that is being dispersed by a bunch of the park's staff members.
As I get closer at a fast pace, one of the staff members wants to stop me. As I'm already contemplating how to get past the staff member, the staff member suddenly steps aside and let's me pass.
"They are waiting for you behind the red stall to the left."
Seems the staff member was told to let me pass. As I walk past him, I see that he is wearing an earpiece. Probably for communication with other staff members and perhaps even Titus himself.
I cross the distance to the red stall the staff member indicated and quickly round the corner. Quinn and Cassidy are standing there with Titus calmly talking to them. They look pale but seem unharmed.
"Are you okay, did anything happen to you? Are you hurt at all?"
They look at me and shake their heads. However, they look shaken up. Just what happened?
"Guy, I'll take these two to Melody and I'll be there to look after them. You might want to talk to Valeria over there. I'll have this mess dealt with by the time your done."
I follow Titus' gaze and see Valeria sitting on a bench not far away. Her head is lowered and she's staring down at her hands that are lying in her lap. She looks pitiful. Whatever happened must be weighing on her.
This is you last chance to tell me what happened, Navi. If you won't tell me, I'll make Valeria do it.
{I'll tell you… just please, don't make her feel even worse than she already is. She's already at the brink of another relapse.}

{Do you remember that rude lady from the teleportation station? Apparently, she only arrived today and by some unlucky coincidence she met Valeria and your daughters at a shooting stall. Her son and Cassidy wanted the same prize and they got into an argument. Valeria used her superior stats to win the game first and got the prize. The rude lady lost it and pulled a real gun. She yelled at Valeria that she was going to shoot her sister and it was her own fault and shot at Cassidy.}
