Chương 7: Chapter 7 : Once Seen
_ "Dana ... forgive me for suddenly leaving ... I was ... I was very hurt"
_ "I looked for you everywhere." Dana said
_ "Forgive me friend, this was all my fault." said crying
_ "No, it's not your fault, it's mine, I shouldn't have gone alone."
_ "Wait, I have not finished telling everything"
_ "A guy saved my life"
_ "I still have the image of your smile in my mind" I said sighing
_ "Who is he, do we know him?" Said Dana
_ "No, we have never seen it before."
_ "How strange ... in this neighborhood we all know each other."
_ "How is he?" Said Dana
_ "He ... he ... He is a nice, nice and funny boy"
_ "But ..." I said
_" But what ?"
_ "Dana, he is white"
Dana's jaw dropped.
_" What?" She said amazed and I covered her mouth
_ "Yes, I don't know what to do, I'm falling in love with a white man."
_ "Well ... the only thing I can tell you is to forget about him."
_ "I'm sorry but ... I say it for your sake, that can cause problems."
_ "Promise me that you will not tell this to anyone."
_ "Okay, I promise."
Dana, she put her arm around my back comforting me.
_ "Well, I have to go, we'll talk tomorrow"

George's POV
I got home and Leah wasn't there.
The kids were all watching TV with Bety.
_" Where is your sister?" Said Bety
_ "It's 6 in the afternoon and she's not here"
_" I do not know..."
_ "Well, I have to go" said the lady and left.
_ "It can't be that I have arrived here and Leah has not come before me to make us dinner."
_ "Bety made cornbread, it's in the fridge." Abraham said
Then in a few minutes Leah arrived at the house.
_ "Hey; Where and with whom were you?"
_ "At Dana's house"
_ "Why are you so late?"
_ "Can't I talk to my friend?"
_ "Please George, now you don't have the role of the overprotective brother."
I put my hand to my face in frustration and told him.
_ "You know what? ... Forget it, sorry for talking to you that way" said Leah
_ "I'll go change Caleb's clothes."
I went to my room and my whole body ached, I took off my shirt because of my allergic reaction and began to scratch my back. I looked in the mirror and saw that I had been infected.
I bathed with lukewarm water, lay on my stomach and slept until the next day. The next morning, I got ready to go to "school."
Me, Leah and Dana got to the bus and we saw those nightknives approaching and both girls stood behind me.
Leah was shaking with fear.
We both got in the car and sat in the back.

Leah'POV s POV
The moment on the bus was the worst of my life, I stood behind my brother in case that boy would try to abuse me again. He looked at me seriously and with contempt and I looked down. Worst of all, I couldn't say anything to my brother to prevent a riot.
Besides, I couldn't send him, because the one who abused me was a white man.
We got to school and I told Dana that it was that boy who had abused me.
When we got to recess, Dana was nowhere to be seen until she arrived with a piece of paper.
_ "Leah, I have to tell you something"
_ "A white boy sent you this" he said giving me a letter.
Dear Leah,
I have been thinking about what you said, if we would see each other again and I would like us to go out to a secluded place, well I have something to tell you.
_" You're going?"
_ "Don't trust yourself too much" said Dana
_ "Don't worry, nothing will happen to me." Anything runs to my grandmother's house, I'll be there.
We left school and Steve was in his car, he had raised the windows of his car, I sat in the passenger seat, Steve was still parked. We waited for everyone at the school to leave.
_ "I have to give you something"
When I looked closely, Steve took something out of his pocket, it was my brooch that he had fixed.
_ "Oh my God, Steve!"
_ "I had looked for it everywhere"
_ "When you left I found it lying on the floor, I assumed it was yours and I fixed it."
_ "Thank you" I said and hugged him, then I was ashamed to have hugged him that way.
_" Sorry"
I stared at him for a while and couldn't help but contemplate how handsome he was. Then he looked me in the eye.
Until suddenly I heard a familiar voice yelling at me from the window. It was George along with many of his friends.
George pushed open the door and pulled me out of the car, Steve got out just like me.
_ "Ouch!" I said when he abruptly released my arm.
_" What is all this?"
_" Nothing"
_ "Don't lie to me" said George
_ "You, idiot, get away from my sister!"
George and Steve started fighting, George hit him and Steve defended himself.
_" Stop!"
_ "George, stop hitting him!" George beat him and left him half dead and his friends beat him knocking him unconscious
I stepped in the middle to break up the fight and George pulled me by the arm.
_ "Listen to me little sister, I do not care that I am younger than you, anyway I am a man and you are a woman, so you will do what I say. Stay away from that guy or I will kill him in front of your eyes !."
George got on a motorboat and his friends went the other way leaving Steve lying on the ground.
_" I'm going to take you home"
_" What are you waiting for?" George told me, indicating that I sit on the motorboat.
_ "I prefer to walk home alone" I told George, I walked a few blocks away from my house so that George could see that I was going away and I returned to the starting point when he left.
I thought I had to hide Steve before George's friends showed up. I stared at Steve, he had bruises on his arms, his eyelids were purple and his lips were bleeding.
I thought about how I was going to move a boy of about 125 pounds. Suddenly a black man in his 60s appears.
_ "Let me help you" he told me and we took him to an abandoned place.
_ "I wish I could leave it at home, but I can't" fixed the man
_ "Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it." said
After a while the man appears with a mattress, a sheet and hot chocolate.
_ "I will not leave here until he is better."
_ "I can see it in your eyes"
_ "Do you love that dude?"
I got nervous because of what he had told me, if I said yes, I would get in trouble, I lowered my head and said nothing. I don't know if I loved him, because I hardly knew him but I do know that I had fallen in love.
_ "Don't worry, your secret is saved with me." Said the man and went outside
_ "You are so cute ... what a pity that fate will have us separated forever."
_ "Well, I have to go, I'll be back tomorrow."
