Chương 25: Chapter 40

"The food was delicious," I told him. He smiled shyly. "I wonder why you're not a chef yet?" I teased a little. I lay back down on the sofa as he placed a warm blanket on me. Fabian went to lit up the fire in the fireplace and warmth started to surface around the room defeating the cold air. There were droplets of rain splattered into the windows and within seconds, a heavy downpour of rain covered the whole street. He came over and sat beside me and asked if I'd like to watch TV. I told him that anything's fine. "Just as long as it isn't a scary movie." I smiled. "I don't do well with things that go bumped in the night." 

"Alright." he took the remote control and flipped a channel on. Cuddling myself with the warm blanket, the mood of the lit up fire, and watching television with him made me feel a tingling sensation. I couldn't resist as I put my head on his shoulder. He was surprised at first, but relaxed after that.
