Teach screamed and grabbed where his right arm used to be. A few feet away from the traitor, the limb landed on the ground, who looked at it in mild shock and anguish. "Soren, you motherfucker! After I'm finished with you, you'll wish you stayed a slave."
Blackbeard then covered his bleeding stump in darkness as he raised his other hand into the air, "Even if I have to destroy this whole Island, I'll take you both down." A pillar of darkness shot into the air, and suddenly gravity was warped as light itself bent around the black hole.
Gasping, I felt the oxygen start to funnel out of the air around me and thought I could survive several hours without oxygen Ace wasn't as lucky. Using the little air left, I propelled myself towards Ace and grabbed his shirt, "Sorry, but it's not safe for you anymore."
My arm exploded, becoming larger than my entire body before I threw Ace breaking the sound barrier for a brief second, and he escaped the blackhole's area of influence. Holding my breath, I turned back to the traitor whose eyes bulged the sign of a man on the brink of insanity.
"That was a bad move, Soren. I've studied your moves in each fight. Without Ace, you can't take me on your own!" By now, the pillar had turned into a small black hole that was slowly sucking up sand, dirt, and small rocks. Each time the hole absorbed something, it grew a little bigger and the gravitational force stronger.
Realizing that Teach wasn't joking about bringing the whole Island down, I lowered myself to the ground. The wind was whipping around furiously as more air swarmed in to prevent a vacuum from forming.
"You can't win, Soren. Nothing can survive my void. Just let yourself go. It will be quicker." Teach formed another black hole and slowly brought started to bring the two of them together. The combined gravitational pull formed a crater around Teach, who was unaffected by his powers.
I started to feel the effect as well, my ears began to pop, and every cell in my body was beginning to flatten and shift. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out two items, a Lembas pill and a syringe full of Darwin Serum.
"Wish I could have done more testing, but here it goes." I swallowed the pill before finding the artery in my neck and injected the serum. My eyes shrank to pinpoints as my entire body started to steam, giving off waves of heat.
I could feel myself start to change, but it wasn't enough. Gritting my teeth, I began to run towards Teach the pressure and pull off the black holes growing stronger by the step. There was also another factor I didn't take into consideration.
Each hole gave off a massive amount of radiation as fast as possible, destroying any cells that were mutating into growths while encouraging the changes happening in my body. Teach saw me run towards him, my footsteps leaving craters in the ground as the gravity was comparable to being at the bottom of the ocean.
"Your embracing death Soren, what do you want to take my other arm. It's no problem to me, I was planning to take Pop's, but your's will do just fine." I felt my anger rise like an unstoppable tide, "You don't have the right to call him that!"
Suddenly I had a burst of speed as I was no longer weighed down by gravity. The look of shock on Teach's face was the best moment of satisfaction in the world. He flew like he was shot out of a cannon. I watched as his body skipped across the earth like a stone across the water.
Trees shattered into sawdust before Teach stopped against a mountain, but not before taking off the top half. I gasped as the blackholes collapsed, letting air grace my lungs. A few seconds later, I looked into the crater where Teach lay, his body bruised and battered but still drawing breath.
Sliding down the sides, I stood over Teach, "You almost had me. If you brought those two black holes together, that would have been the end. You would have ripped the fabric of space warping time and laws."
I crouched next to the bastard, his breath weakening, "But you didn't, and know I'll take away your chance forever." Reaching into my pocket, and pulled out a black cherry, "See you in hell."
I placed my fingers on the side of his neck and pressed down firmly for a minute. Though it was difficult to find the blood vessel through the fat, it did the job. Teach drew his last breath as his chest stopped rising and falling.
I felt something then a transfer as the cherry in my palm swelled, growing to the size of an apple and gaining the signature purple swirls. Putting the fruit away, I stood and flew back to the scene of the fight.
Ace was standing there looking at the damage the fight had caused. "I see you're alive. What about him?" I pulled out the reincarnated Yami Yami no Mi for Ace to see, "The deeds done, the body is over that way."
"I want to see him before I burn him to ashes." I nodded as Ace made his way to the site of the crash.
-On the Ship-
Out on the deck, everyone was partying, celebrating Ace's and my victory over Teach. We were all well into our third drinks, and even Evos was nursing a small cup of ale. After a while, Ace pulled me aside to talk, "So what comes next, you have a crew of your own, and I need to get back to Pops."
"You don't need to worry about that. You'll see my name in the paper soon enough." Ace smirked, "That's fine with me. I've had enough of your hair-brained schemes for a lifetime.
"Well either way I'll miss you." Ace and I toasted before drowning in more ale and good times.
