Chương 32: Signal
"Hoho, we meet again, rookie. I hope you still remember the words I said yesterday."
Luke snapped out from his trance state upon hearing the man's words. He heaved a sigh before turned around and let out a smile, "Oh? It's the previous senior I met yesterday. I wonder what business seniors have to do with me."
Looking at the flattering smile plastered over Luke's face and hearing his courteous tone, the man smirked, "Now you finally know your position is?"
Luke asked back, "What do you mean by my position? My current position is here, in front of the billboard. Senior, you should probably check your eyes, whether it's functioned properly or not."
The people present here were not a fool. Therefore they knew the real Luke words mean are, "Are you blind? I'm all this time standing here, how come you can't see?"
The man clenched his fist in anger, hearing a sarcastic remark from a person lower-rank way below him.
'That wasn't I meant!' He thought vexedly.
He was about to step forward to beat Luke but immediately get stopped by his friend.
"Let me go! I'm gonna teach this bastard a lesson!" He roared in rage.
Luke seeing this opportunity, didn't hesitate to scurry away to his room.
"He escaping.." The man dumbfounded for a moment before yelled, "IF I SPOTTED YOU ONE MORE FCKING TIME, I'M GONNA BEAT YOU TILL YOUR MOM CANNOT RECOGNIZE YOU!"
Luke stopped on his track before abruptly turned around and tucked out his tongue, "You said that yesterday, but guess I'm still fine now." after that, Luke continued his sprint and didn't once look back.
The crowd who were expecting an exciting show couldn't help but boo in displeasure.
"What are you staring at? You want to taste my fist?" The man raised his fist threateningly toward the crowd direction.
"Hiss," The crowd immediately dispersed one by one. They didn't want to anger a person from rank B.

Entering his room, Luke swiftly closed the door and leaning against it.
"Fyuh." Wiping his imaginary sweat, Luke's eyes stopped at the three figures who were staring weirdly at him.
"What are you doing?" Kuvar asked while eyeing Luke from top to toe, wondering what's wrong with his friend.
The other two didn't say anything but silently demanded the answer.
Luke awkwardly laughed while averted his gaze somewhere, "Haha, I advise all of you shouldn't leaving the room for the next hour."
"Why?" Came reply simultaneously from the three guys.
"B-Because an angry bull might knock your door the instant you leave this room." Luke stammeringly replied.
"Cut the crap! What do you mean by an angry bull?" Kurvan said impatiently.
"T-The guy from yesterday night. I met him just now." Luke said with a bitter smile.
"What? Did you guys fight? How could you remain unscratched?" The one who burst out in shock was Timothy. How could our friend Luke fight evenly with such a scary guy? Isn't this unbelievable?
"Why all of you so agitated." Brian, who all this time remained silent, decide to spoke up in case his friend would die in shock, "Luke obviously was running. Look at his unstable breathing."
"Oh? Now you mention it; Luke was slightly panting. Silly me." Kuvar slapped his own forehead in shame.
After saying that, Kuvar narrowed his eyes in suspicion on Luke, "Then when you were saying you could resolve the matter easily last night. You mean it by running?"
Without hesitation, Luke shamelessly replied, "Of course. I'm just bluffing last night." Which is true since he already tasted it by himself a power of D Rank. Just a D rank almost causing him to lose, moreover B Rank? Even with the upgraded skill control, He wasn't sure he could defeat the man.
"F*ck! I thought you were really that strong." Kuvar couldn't help but cursed out loud upon realizing his trust toward his friend went naught.
In the next hour, the four figures didn't dare to come out from the room and remained inside like caged lambs.
While waiting for the safe hours, Luke's phone let out a beep sound. He opened it and saw it was a message from senior Amon.
"The regulation from the school prohibited the students exit the school unless you were in a mission or had an emergency matter that you need to attend immediately. Since you neither had those conditions, you couldn't step out of the school. But don't worry, you can just tell your mother to leave your belonging to the stationed guard there. Afterward, he'd deliver your stuff to you later."
Luke feels disappointed slightly upon knowing that he was forbidden to meet his mother directly. Nevertheless, he feels relieved that at least he could get his stuff back. He then typed thanks to senior Amon and messaged his mother that he regretfully couldn't meet her and tell her that she could just leave his stuff at the guard.
Finish with those, Luke began propped himself from the bed lazily and spoke out, "Let's go. It's been an hour. I don't think they'd continue to observe us."
"It's your fault! Because of you, we have lost our breakfast time, huhu!" Kuvar complained before acting as if wronged.
"What are you crying at? It just breakfasts. I'll compensate for it with my money." Luke rolled his eyes at his friend worse acting.
In the end, Luke didn't have to pay for their breakfast since they didn't want to burden Luke anymore. After much insistence, Luke finally complied with their request. Though Luke was reluctant, he was also after all a new student with a tiny amount of credit points. Hence, this result where he didn't have to spend credit points anymore delight him.
When they were in the canteen, their badges suddenly emitted a repeated red light.
Luke, who was the first time encountered this, slightly bewildered, "What the meaning of this?"
"It's an official signal from the school." While saying this, Brian already removed his badge and placed it above the table. Soon, from the badge come out a hologram of an elderly figure which belonged to the person testing Luke the first time he entered LSA.
"All the students assemble in the main yard."
"You will be given 10 minutes to arrive.
"The students who were late would be given severe punishment."
"Thank you."

The hologram slowly vanished and returned to the Brian badge. Luke followed along with Kuvar's action by pressing a certain button within his badge, and the red light on his badge also stopped.
