Chương 19: New Roommates
One year has passed since Schaffe and Phil met and they have been busy taking jobs and making Albany a safe place for those looking for a place to settle. Schaffe was in a workshop in an old Robo Co. Store which Phil and Schaffe call home. Schaffe was working on a terminal to program a robot that Phil made.
"Man, I need some parts this motherboard is too far gone," said Schaffe. He goes and looks through a bin but cannot find one. "Damn." Phil walks into the workshop. He was wearing a black shirt with tan overalls with brown boots.
"Morning," said Phil, he seemed to have woken up.
"Finally getting up it's almost two in the afternoon," said Schaffe.
"Sorry, I got going last night," said Phil.
"Another random girl?" asked Schaffe.
"Even after a year you know me well," said Phil.
"I just hope you get yourself checked dude, you could get something nasty," said Schaffe.
"No worry, I would die happy to a sex-related disease," said Phil.
"Well, back to business, we are out of good motherboards," said Schaffe.
"Really? These are not good?" asked Phil.
"For our current job no. This will put us back and were offered a lot of money from the Albany Guards for it," said Schaffe.
"Yeah, we would lose a lot of caps, if we keep holding them back, Alright, I heard of a place but it's full of bandits," said Phil.
"We just have to go in and take it before they notice us or kill them," said Schaffe.
"Ah, I taught you well," said Phil. He goes and gets a red long coat and a leather cowboy hat. "Time to get some caps." Schaffe goes and puts on a leather jacket and they take off to a place.
They stood outside of Albany where they see a place which was an old factory for computers.
"Place is a geek paradise," said Phil.
"Yeah, but this could be the place we came for a motherboard," said Schaffe.
"True, hopefully we can find the part we need…," said Phil. He sees that bandits have already found out where they are and surround both him and Schaffe.
"Ah, fuck," said Schaffe.
"Nice day we are having fellas," said Phil, nervously. They take them and throw them into a locked room without their weapons on them.
In the room, They were looking at the door which was a metal door.
"Well, it be a bit before we get out," said Phil.
"Man is it me or does it stink like a weed in here," said Schaffe, who started to smell marijuana.
"Now, you mention it," said Phil, he starts to smell it. They look around and see a bunk bed with a man smoking a rolled-up joint in his mouth. He looks like he was wearing dark green overalls and a white shirt covered with what looks like a little oil. He had a black hat with a hole on top which showed a little of his hair. This was Ian Smokeroach, seven years ago. Ian sees them.
"Ah, I got some new roommates," said Ian.
