He patted her head and waited until she calmed down.

Then her mom got up and went to wash her face which was drenched with tears when Jay made a sinister look with an evil laughter.

"You surely know how to amuse me, SYSTEM!"

Jay was surprised and at the same time amused by the system because of a sudden notification that appeared.

It was a thrilling mission for him.

"You really know how to convince me I'm doing the tasks..."

1] Enter one of the tomb of the Pharoh Kura using the PHAROH'S KEY.

2] Revive the great altar of sacrifice in the tomb.

"Haha, I really wanna go there right now but I have to prepare myself since I'm not that strong after all I'm still F-Rank hunter."

Jay was thinking calmly about the mission. Since the rewards were high then the mission should also be difficult to complete.

However, he had already decided to go on this mission regardless of what dangers he faces.

The he suddenly stood up and called out to his mother.

"Mom, I'll be going, tomorrow is the first day if university and I don't wanna miss it."

His mom gave a smile and said, "Okay, return safely. Come soon next time too, at least once a week you can visit us right?"

"I'll think about it Mom, bye"

Jay waves his hand and immediately takes his leave but before going he had kept some money with a letter for her mother saying to repair the door which was broken.

"Hehe~ that boy, he has grown up, are you watching this dear?"

IN THE EVENING AROUND 7 PM AT JAY'S HOUSE...

"I bought this skill crystal stone with all the money I had left. I hope I will get some decent ability."

NOTE: A skill crystal stone is actually a crystal having skills stored inside them. A hunter takes the crystal and swallows it after which he/she gains a skill. Gaining skill usually depends on luck since it's uncertain what kind of skill may be stored inside the crystal but sometimes a crystal stored only specific skills of specific rank.

Jay without thinking much puts the crystal in his mouth and swallows it immediately.

After doing so he starts to mediate and cultivate the stone. He circulated the flow of his energy inside his body to make the attainment of the skill faster than normal rates.

"Uhh... what's going on? It feels like my stomach might burst open anytime."

The pain from which Jay was suffering was much more gruesome than death itself. His stomach was bulging then contracting and again bulging.

The amount of energy that the crystal had was already beyond what Jay could handle.

Then suddenly he coughs up blood.

'Cough'

He suddenly opens his eyes and looks at his blood.

"Dammit..."

He suddenly falls down and slowly starts to lose consciousness.

"This wasn't how it was supposed to be..."

"I can't die yet... was everything in vain till now... help me....", his voice couldn't be heard by anyone.

Everything around him started to become darker and all he found was pitch black with emptiness.

"Where am I?"

It was clearly a void without anything. Such a place was usually referred to as hell among hunters as it would be impossible to escape that space once you have entered since your consciousness won't return.

But for some reason Jay fet that his power grew and started to become stronger. The more he entered this dark space more stronger his energy would become leading him to feeling much better.

"Weird... why does this feel so familiar... it's like this darkness is my part... a part of my body."
