Chương 29: We got a CLUE
"Huh.. Oh sure" Dayal says with a small smirk on his face probably because he won the leg fight under the table.
All of them gathered in the same room but this time Sam was going for the interrogation. The five of them along with Kunal were on the other side of the glass partition.
The housekeeper comes in and takes a seat in front of Sam only to face the others behind the screen.
"He is? "Kunal said.
" The housekeeper."Jake asks.
" This is the housekeeper? "
"Yes.Don't you know him?" Mon asks.
"No.I thought Mr. Carl had a female maid instead. "
"What do you mean? "Dayal says.
" I don't know. Maybe he changed the housekeeper."
"See, I told you. This guy is surely making us lose the track! "Loy says.
" Huh? No! I just said what I knew. "
"Okay, now let us focus on this guy. "Dayal says.
'We are glad you didn't vanish. 'Sam says to the person.
'Of course I...I...didn't do anything' he answers immediately.
The person right now is acting normal, answering confidently. This can make anyone think that he is definitely telling the truth, after all there is no fear or nervousness in his voice. That might look simple but it is more complex.
To be precise the person may be confident enough because he is not been caught yet or is very sure that he will never be caught if he acts normal.
Sam could see that already, 'That depends on the evidence! ' she says firmly.
'What do you mean? '
"Sam, ask him if there was someone who worked with Mr Carl before he started? "Dayal says.
" Dayal, how can you believe this guy so much? "Loy says.
" I'm not believing him yet. Let's see what he has to say. "
"Okay now you two stop. Let's not distract her,she's working." Jake interrupts making both of them look back to him.
Sid glared at Jake as he was shocked by his response and said "Whoa… what was I doing an hour ago? "
"That's what I'm saying. I don't want another earpiece to be thrown on this glass. "He says with a small smile.
"Oh"
"Shh.. Stop" Mon says.
'When did you start working at Mr. Carl's house?'
'A month before his death'
'Do you anyone who worked there in your place? '
'Aah… ummm no. '
'Okay'
The housekeeper was asked to leave soon after that. There was nothing coming out of all these interrogations.
Buzz….buzz….buzz
Dayal shoves into his pocket to find the mobile phone. The familiar name flashed on the screen and he didn't waste a moment to pick it up.
"Yes"
"Sir, the director is here"
"Okay I will be right there."he said to their manager.
" Okay sir"
"I have to go. You all look at what we can do now. " Dayal says, hanging up the phone.
"Who is it? " Loy asks.
"Ah let's go together"They left together and the door opened again, revealing Sam.
" We have to find this lady"she says.
"Do you have any idea where she can be? "Mon asks Kunal.
" No "
"Hmm… anyway we will take care of it. "
"Let's see the call records first. We have got Mr. Carl's call records right? " Jake says.
"Yeah we have them" Sam says.
The list was long. They had to check all the call records from the month before his death. Well surprisingly there were no such suspicious calls but they noticed that he had fewer calls for that whole month.

Mr Dayal cabin;
"When will all this end? "
"Soon sir. We are trying our best to solve this case. " Dayal answers to the two officers sitting on either side of the sofa.
"You have already got much time. Moreover this is your last month in this department! "
"I will surely complete it by then"
"This is your last chance Mr Dayal. You have got a team as well now, so you should hurry"
"I can't just blindly arrest anyone in a hurry. We need proof for everything. "Dayal answers, as he fights a frown.
"Ahh… but we need it to be quick. Otherwise this will be passed on to some other officer and then again they will have to continue it. If we don't have clues it simply means that all these accusations are nonsense. " The officer says with a hideous laughter.
"Is it? "
"I believe that the lawyers murdered are still not found, forget about the politicians' case. It has no point or maybe… "
"Maybe what? " Dayal asks him sternly.
"Maybe you are not capable of solving any cases anymore! " The other person who was not talking all this while finally spoke.
Suddenly the door opened revealing Jake and he stopped for a while to see the two officers and then said" Sorry to disturb you Mr. Dayal but we have got the information about that lady"
"Oh… good" He stands up and is about to walk towards the door but turns back to look at the officers sitting on the sofa.
"Sir, I am joining my team now as you can see we got a CLUE. Aah.… make sure you finish the tea! " He said with a slight smirk.
On their way to the location Jake, Dayal and Mr. Loy were all in the same car.
"I guess I saw him somewhere " Jake says as he checks the location again on the screen and turns the steering along with it.
"Whom? "Dayal asks, confused by that sudden
" The person in your office.The one with whom you were talking"
"Which one? "
"Aah..On the left"
"Oh.. That's Mr. Gupta.He's a senior officer, a little higher ranked than me. "
"Where did you see him? " Loy asks.
"Umm...I guess with that politician. "
"What! " Dayal shouts.
"Yeah why? " Jake says.
"Loy, he saw him with the politician. Are you guessing the same as I am? "
"I...think….this can be a misunderstanding. Jake are you sure you saw him? "
"Yeah I am sure" he says shrugging his shoulders.
"We will talk about this later then. Let's see the lady first. "Loy says.
