"Are you sure you want to continue? It's about to hit midnight and you have just recovered..." Emily trailed off as a finger approached her lips to stop her from saying more. 

She brushed away Shadow's finger before staring right into the amber eyes of the man who seemed determined to complete the merging of the magical balls into her spirit beasts. "Shadow, I'm really worried about you. Can you stop taking these risks? Why are you in such a hurry today? We can wait for a couple of days so you can rest before continuing with the merging." 

Kaiden returned to their side right at that moment and took a seat beside her before wrapping one of his hands around her shoulder and giving her a little squeeze. "She's right, Shadow."
