"What happens after the countdown ends, where do we go to act and earn credits?"

Li Teng looked up at the wall clock. It was already 11:45 PM, only fifteen minutes left in the countdown.

If everything Gao Fei said was true, Li Teng needed to hurry up.

"Brother, let me go. I need to rush to the set too, I can take you with me. We're in the same boat now, like grasshoppers on a string, companions in the play at twelve o'clock. I've apologized for the joke I made earlier, so please, let's not dwell on that anymore," Gao Fei pleaded with Li Teng.

After glaring fiercely at Gao Fei for a few more moments, Li Teng finally released him.

As Gao Fei got up, he grinned happily, seemingly unbothered by the beating he had received from Li Teng, and even appeared to be in good spirits.

Could this guy masochistic?

"How do we get out of here?" Li Teng looked around and then turned his gaze to Gao Fei.

"These wax figures are controlled by mechanisms." While saying this, Gao Fei walked towards a painting near the door, fumbled around the frame, and found a hidden button.

After pressing the button, the wax figures within the wax museum began to move automatically, returning to the positions they were in when Li Teng had entered, clearing the way to the main entrance.

"What's your honorable surname, and how should I address you?" Gao Fei, after opening the door, continued to chat up Li Teng.

"Surname Tang, first name Donna," Li Teng responded to Gao Fei and quickly walked out the door, back onto the street outside.

Everything about the wax museum made him feel uncomfortable; it was better to be outside.

"Donna? Are you sure your name isn't Donald?" Gao Fei said with a sheepish smile.

"Which way to the filming location?" Li Teng changed the subject.

"Over there. There are signposts indicating the way, and the location is close to here. No need to panic; it's just a ten-minute walk," Gao Fei replied to Li Teng.

"So this place is like the Main God world from web novels, right?" Li Teng asked Gao Fei while they walked. If Gao Fei had read web novels, he should understand the reference.

"Somewhat similar, but there are no superpowers here. All scenes and characters must be played out with our own flesh and blood. If the role you're playing dies, and you get the ax, you're pretty much gone too."

"Moreover, in the Main God world, you can usually improvise and forcefully change the script. Here it's different; our roles are as Actors, we must follow the predefined script and lines. If the script dictates that your character dies, you have no choice but to accept that fate."

"In most cases, whether or not you survive is all down to luck."

"Take my girlfriend, for instance. We were both trapped at the top of a column. When the helicopter came, I thought it was a rescue, so I let her be saved first. As a result, she ended up here, got mixed up in that 'Furious Tsunami' film."

"Once filming started, everyone else grabbed life jackets and lifebuoys, but she just froze up, stood still, and was swept away by the water. Later, five people were rescued, but she and two other unlucky ones instantly died and turned into wax figures."

"If I had known it was like this here, I should have gotten on the helicopter first." Gao Fei said, looking back at the wax museum behind him with a complex look in his eyes.

"Your girlfriend is also in that wax museum?" Li Teng glanced at Gao Fei with some sympathy. It seemed that the stone pillars grabbed people based on their bed, and since Li Teng had slept alone, only he got trapped on top of the stone pillar.

Gao Fei was luckier; he and his girlfriend were trapped together on the bed. When they were bored, they at least had each other and some enjoyable activities to pass the time, unlike Li Teng, who was going crazy from the solitude.

"Yes," Gao Fei nodded.

"Is being turned into a wax figure the same as being dead?" Li Teng continued to ask.

"Not exactly the same. The living person is sealed inside the wax figure, and it takes a thousand points to unseal them. If I can save up enough points, I can bring her back to life," Gao Fei shook his head.

"Oh? A thousand points? If you save up a thousand points, would you choose to lower the height of the stone pillar to ensure your own safety in returning to the ground, or would you save your girlfriend?" Li Teng gave Gao Fei a probing look.

Having a companion on the bed is not just about having someone to keep you company or avoiding boredom on top of the stone pillar; it's also about being able to save each other. Li Teng was indeed quite unlucky, having to rely on himself; once he turned into a wax figure, he would be one forever.

"That... heh, it's hard to say. Once you become an Actor, it's hard to quit the role. When the play comes, you have to perform. Even if I saved her, with her intelligence, if she takes on a role and turns into a wax figure again, what then? I don't have enough lives to keep saving her. It's probably better for me to lower the stone pillar first, and once I get back to the original world, I might find someone to break this all down... Of course, first, I have to earn enough points," Gao Fei chuckled awkwardly.

"Points are not so easy to earn. After spending 18 points earlier on food, clothes, and a bath, if he could only earn 10 points from today's play, wouldn't he leave with negative points and directly turn into a wax figure?

"Hahaha... Worried about going into the negative, are you?" Gao Fei clearly had experience in this area and knew exactly what Li Teng was thinking.

Li Teng did not respond.
