'Guess it's time to go offensive....'
Muscles around Erik's thigh and arms suddenly bulged, large veins could be seen on his skin. Fortunately, all of these changes were carefully hidden under the uniform he wore, not to mention the armour.
Everyone was so busy looking at the confrontation between the two combatants, that they ignored the sudden tightness around Erik's thighs, the uniform was also a bit stretched.
*Creak*
The floor inside the inner-hall was made up of traditional wood whereas the outer area was a solid surface. The floor creaked due to the sudden stress experienced as Erik pressed the ground and launched himself forward.
The propulsion was quite strong as Erik immediately closed the distance between himself and Sawaki. The latter reacted quickly, taking a step back he raised his right hand to defend.
Unfortunately, his opponent wasn't going to go easy on him. Erik struck a fist towards Sawaki's left shoulder, prematurely stopping the latter to complete his movement.
Erik was very decisive with his attack, he didn't give Sawaki any chance to take a breath and directly launched a barrage of attacks towards the various body parts of the latter, who couldn't block the incoming attacks.
*Bam*
A powerful fist landed of his stomach, propelling him a few inches above the ground, the sheer momentum behind Erik's strike was pushed Sawaki back.
*Bam*
Immediately, a thunderous noise rang out of the hall. Erik didn't let go of the momentum and launched a side kick right onto Sawaki's ribs.
"Ah!.."
Fortunately for Sawaki, the protective gear minimized the damage dealt with his body but even so he couldn't help but flinch due to the impact.
Erik launched a kick towards his head intending to knock him out, unfortunately even after sustaining two heavy impacts, Sawaki was still able to lean back in time to avoid the kick to the temple.
However, Erik didn't stop with his movement, he jumped in the air while twisting around, transferring the momentum from his right leg into his other leg, which was that thrust into Sawaki's chest.
*Bam*
Sawaki was thrown backwards, the pressure put on his arms by the kick was tremendous, Erik had indeed put a good amount of energy in his kick.
Sawaki was barely able to raise his hands in front of his chest to absorb the impact of the attack.
'He is too.....skilled!'
For the first time in a long time, Sawaki was completely helpless against his opponent. No matter what he did, no matter how he struck, no matter how he defended, every single strategy he created was completely dominated by the skills of the opponent.
Erik was extremely skilled in close-combat, his level was very high and he himself had to consciously suppress himself so to not reveal too much of his skills or injure Sawaki.
He didn't attack with the intent to hurt Sawaki, his attacks didn't hurt him but rather numbed the areas where he struck, making it even harder for the latter to control his own body.
Due to the numbness spreading throughout his body, Sawaki couldn't retreat or even react fast enough to dodge the attacks coming towards him.
Erik exploited this fact and continued with his assault.
'Left rib!....'
Sawaki jerked back due to the harsh impact near his ribs, even though the armour protected the participants, it didn't nullify the damage done by the other party.
Feeling the similar Numbing effect spread across his stomach, Sawaki stepped back. He dodged a few jabs towards his face but Erik's attack struck him again.
'Right shoulder!.....'
Sawaki's body titled towards the right as a heavy punch landed onto his shoulder, the same Numbing effect could be felt near the area connecting his neck to the lower body.
'Right rib!.....'
'Collarbone!.....'
'Neck!.....'
.
.
.
.
.
One by one, Erik kept assaulting Sawaki who couldn't feel most of his body, especially the back portion. Erik's blows were messing with his brain who couldn't control the different body parts.
(Friends P.O.V)
"Erik-san is quite decisive with his attacks, he is specifically targetting Sawaki-senpai's joints and muscles, causing the latter to not be able to effectively control his body...."
Mari was impressed, her friend has shown a high level of combat skills and was able to effortlessly avoid similar high-level attacks without breaking a sweat.
She was excited to spar against Erik and better her own skills in close-combat.
"Indeed, not only did he easy dealt with [Accel] magic but was also able to completely avoid nearly every attack thrown at him!...."
Katsuto calmly pointed out the facts as he watched the spar with interest, as the future patriarch of the Juumonji clan, he had seen many high-level practitioners.
And he must say he was impressed by the level of skills displayed by his recent friend.
"He is very dexterous in movement, not to mention he also possess high close-combat skills....!"
Suzune listed Erik's strengths as she pointed out the unnatural dexterity displayed by the man in question, not only was Erik easy able to avoid the incoming blows but was also able to quickly strike with his fast movement.
She had a calm look on her face as she observed her only friend, not only was he blessed with genius but was also very talented in hand-to-hand combat.
"Now I really wonder what kind of magic does Erik-san's specialize in...?"
Mayumi was curious about what kind of magic did Erik use, they had seen Mari using magic, they know Juumonji's magic, they know her own [Convergence-Type Magic] but they had never seen Erik using any spell.
Surely Suzune also hadn't used any magic till now but Mari and Mayumi knew about her magic when she once mentioned it while eating food together inside the cafeteria.
"Maybe he will use his magic in this fight?..."
"Maybe....., let's hope he does uses his magic!"
"Yeah, I wanna see what kind of system does Erik-san specializes in!...."
"Shhh! Guys! Look at Sawaki-Senpai! Looks like he is about to go serious in this spar...."
(Back to the Fight)
Faced with such an aggressive counter-attack, Sawaki didn't have any other choice but to go full power. The air around him suddenly solidified, the invisible psion covered his body.
'Let's see how you deal with this!....'
He took a straight stance as Psion started to move around his body, he clenched his fist and thurst forward, towards Erik who had already jumped back to distance himself from Sawaki.
The solidified air suddenly burst forth with high pressure and like an air cannon, it blasted towards Erik who's eyes widened slightly, he immediately leaned back while pressing down the floor with his legs.
Erik's body bend backwards, nearly 90° bend and avoided the air cannon which just passed above his face, nearly impacting his face.
'This shockwave attack is a bit impressive....'
Sawaki specializes in creating waves of air pressure with the speed of his fists. Rather than coating his hand in thick armour made of air, he widened the surface air without increasing the weight, and with magic, he uses an accelerated fist to strike a clump of air.
Basically, Sawaki could launch literally air cannons from just his fists.
Impressive indeed....
Erik regained his original posture as he pulled himself up from the 90° bend.
The calm expressive never left his face, not even for a second even when faced with such attacks.
Sawaki raised his other palm and straightened his posture, Erik also followed the former's actions and adopted his own posture, both of them ready to engage in fighting once again.
"Ok relax.....this is enough for a spar, it's time we wrap this up, it's time for the [Dance Club] to come to this place."
Tatsumi, the judge of the spar asked the combatants to stand down and give way to the other club.
Erik couldn't help himself but let out a bitter smile while thinking to himself.
'Guess I really wouldn't be able to witness the full capacity of Sawaki-san today, although he isn't that high in martial arts, he is quite decent.....'
Erik and Sawaki relaxed their posture and bowed towards each other, both showing respect to the other person.
