The sound of impact echoed throughout the inner hall, many students had gathered around the left side to spectate the exciting spar between the members of the Magic Martial Arts Club.

Blows were being exchanged between the two combatants who were engaging in hand-to-hand combat with each other.
One of the combatants, named Tatsumi Koutarou had a neat and sturdy appearance, wearing the course-1 uniform with the flower patch and a combat armour over the uniform.
Tatsumi is also a member of the Public Morals Committee, he is a dependable and competent individual. Not only was he skilled in [Interference Magic] but he even was selected to participate in the 2095s [Monolith Code] event.
Facing him was Sawaki Midori, the ace of the Magic Martial Arts Club. Both of the combatants were engaged in intense close-combat, being elites and members of a Magic-based Club, they were using their magic to strengthen their blows.
Even a layer of [Accel], an acceleration type of magic could be seen covering their bodies as they sparred.
Tatsumi rushed forward towards Sawaki, his right hand curled into a fist. He thrusts forward, aiming for the ribs. Sawaki uses his left palm to smack the incoming fist away from his abdomen and countered with a side-kick.
Tatsumi raises his left arm parallel to his body and blows the incoming blow before pushed the leg away with a sudden motion. He dropped down and did a sweep kick, intending to disrupt Sawaki's balance.
Guessing his motive, Sawaki jumps back to avoid the sweep before reading himself for the next exchange.
Tatsumi quickly gets up after his failed sweep attempt and rushes towards Sawaki using [Accel].
This time rather than being of passive, Sawaki switches to offence and steps forward to meet the incoming attack. He side-steps to avoid the fist and counters with his own, aiming for Tatsumi's chin.
The latter leans backwards the avoid the attack from connecting, unfortunately, Sawaki didn't let up in his assault and immediately continued with the follow-up attacks.
Tatsumi quickly deflects the incoming attacks with his hands while stepping backwards, to create some distance between himself and his opponent.

In an instance, more than 40-blows were exchanges between the two combatants, Tatsumi was forced on the back foot after facing the relentless attacks of Sawaki.
Even though he had blocked most of the blows, some attacks were able to slip past his defence and land of his armour. Sawaki was exploiting his dexterity against Tatsumi who wasn't as fast as the former.
The battle continued for some more rounds but the victor was already decided, one could see the multiple marks on Tatsumi's armour, whereas Sawaki's armour was still in perfect condition.
Even though the combat level of both of the combatants was very high and close to each other, one could clearly see that Sawaki was holding back against his friend and fellow club member.
He wasn't using the combat technique he was famous for, rather both of the combatants were only engaging his normal hand-to-hand combat.
After engaging in quite a long spar, Tatsumi retreated backwards and adopted a relaxed posture while breathing unevenly.
"Huff...Huff! Looks like it's your win, Sawaki-san!"
The addressed person also relaxed his posture before complementing Tatsumi with a smile on his face.
"You have improved so much Tatsumi-san!"
"It's all thanks to the club training sessions I must say!..."
"Thanks for the spar...!"
"Likewise..."
Both of the combatants bowed towards each other to show their respect and acknowledgement of their opponent. Tatsumi was a bit winded but Sawaki, however, looked the same as he did before the fight.
*Clap*
*Clap*
"Wow!! That's so cool!!!...."
"Both of the Senpai are so strong!..."
"Yeah! Did you look at their footwork and the fluidity they had? Insane!!..."
"I also want to learn those skills!...."
"Yeah! But the number of vacant membership is too low....!"
"Yeah...!"
The cluster of students that surrounded the Magic Martial Arts Club started chattering, gossiping about the two seniors who were engaged in the legendary combat just now, even though only basic magic was used in the spar, it was impressive nonetheless.
"The seniors of the Enforcer Unit sure are strong!...."
Mari was fairly impressed by the skills demonstrated by her seniors, she herself being a high-level combatant, could tell that both of them had been holding back this whole time while they fought each other.
"Yeah, guess that's why they were chosen for the Enforcer Unit. Both of them are very talented Combat-Magicians!...."
Mayumi agreed with Mari's words, being the Saegusa Princess, she was well aware of Combat-Magicians and their capabilities when fighting another magician, many magicians ignore their bodies and don't bother learning any martial arts, thinking that their magic is the only thing they need.
But for becoming a Combat-Magician, one must have excellent body condition and must know some sort of combat technique.
Erik agreed with what both of his friends stated but he was more interested in witnessing the special combat technique that Sawaki had learned.
Erik wanted to see just how effective was that technique when compared to his own mastery of combat techniques.
He had mastered many forms of combat to supplement his [Hit's Combat Technique], after all that style was created purely for killing the opponent or to at least decapitate them in a single move.
Sawaki turned towards the crowd and spoke with a smile.
"I hope you all can see how important it is to learn martial arts if you want to become a combat-magician, especially if you want to learn how to incorporate magic into your fighting style."
"I will give you another demonstration to show you how effective magic together with martial arts can be....!"
"Any volunteers?"
Sawaki looked towards the crowd with an expectant expression, he wanted to see if someone would take interest in their club's style of combat.
Hearing his words, many students wanted to participate but were afraid that they would make a fool out of themselves, they were hesitating whether to participate or not.
Sawaki looked through the crowd and his eyes suddenly brightened, he spotted Mari and Erik together with Mayumi, standing within the crowd, watching his demonstration.
'Should I invite Mari-san? No, she is already famous for her combat skills thus the students may think that this was all staged, what about Erik-san? He did score the highest in the practical exam so his application of magic must be very good even if he isn't trained in Martial Arts.'
'Yes, I should invite Erik-san! Let's see if he accepts!?...'.
"Erik-san, would you live to volunteer?"
"Sure..."
