For a woman who had spent most of her life in the city, Tang Zhelan wasn't missing her life back at home at all. The days passed by in peace; she spent her mornings with Zhao Jing as the girl toured her around the town, while her afternoons were spent helping to attend to the guests of the inns.
She especially loved the tea shops along the canals and felt relatively cool under the canopy of trees. The narrow lanes and old architecture were reminders of how people lived in ancient times. The whole area was a maze, not to mention the food being offered at the Old Town was incredible.
The view from Lion Hill showed that the area was not as big as she had thought. But walking through the lanes, searching for particular shops or restaurants proved that it was justifiable being called a city.
