As promised, Leo doesn't kill me. It must be the bound that prevents him.
He does chain me to him, though. I don't know why. I thought he wouldn't want to see me again after this. But it's quite the opposite.
«Let's go back: it's almost sunset,» he says.
«No!» Raphael shouts. «Let her go!»
He tries to get free from his own chains, but nothing works.
I realise that I almost forgot what I'm doing here.
«Wait, Leo...» I whisper, pulling the chain lightly. «We can't leave my brother here.»
«Why not? Also, it will be more difficult to make the others accept him if he runs away.»
«At least, don't tie him like this. I'll make him promise not to leave this room...»
«I can't trust his promises: I don't even know him. And you... How can I trust your word about anything, now?»
I wince, taken back. Leo is right. I should remember that nothing is like it used to be.
