"What really?!" I can't believe what I just heard. All along he was hiding this to me?! But I don't care about his wealth anyway. Being his child is more valuable than wealth, he made me feel being a child with a father.
"Yes Kiari it's true. I don't want you to live a life depending in the wealth we have. I wan't you to grow up working hard to achieve something you want. The feeling is different when you spending the money from your own sweat and hardwork the prize was beyond tasteful" Tatay Stephen said. I understand on what he did, I just can't believe that he's a rich himself. He's a Millioner owning a fancy bars. It's not obivious on his ways and look, who would have thought that the bakershop owner was a rich man.
"Thank you Tatay for raising me like this way. I like it po." I said full of kindess.
"You know what kiari I'm lucky to be a father again. To be a father of a good child, the child of my young master before." I just smile at him I was flattered by his words. What I feel right now was a pool of happiness.
"And I'm more lucky to have you as my new Tatay." I said try to be the sweetest son.
"Hahah you young man, you really impress me, you never failed to make me happy." After he said he make a robust laugh.
"Bye Tatay I have to go to school." I said picking my bag up from the chair.
"Okay Son drive safely."
When I got to school I saw Lynee she's weird. From head to toe she's really a different woman.
She always wear jacket. Although it's summer. She always put that pink hair clip. But she's cute.
"Hey Kiari." Woahh this is new. Pinansin niya ako. But I should act normal.
"What?" I look at her but she refused to look at me. Maybe she's shy or what. I haven't figure that out why she's blushing.
"Hmm I just wanna treat you a meal for helping me yesterday." She said half trailed off.
"You don't have to do that." I look at my wrist watch good thing I got here early. I wanna have a meal with here but I just don't wanna close to her. She's goody two shoes.
"I just want to return the favor." She said looking at me then my heart beats started over speeding But I manage to act normal
"you wanna return the favor?" I ask one eye browl raising onto horizon. She just nooded.
"Study hard don't be late." then I walk pass her.
If I would entertain her, I will be late at my first subject which I always avoid to do so. I don't want to be late on anything. I'm beyond responsible, since the urge to put martin on the jail still lingered, and the pain still fresh.
"Hey kiari? what's with that face? you look weird, is it because you are now a friend of weird lynee Sison?" Ginno said half joking and fully sarcatic.
"Tss you're talking nonsense." I said to him then he just give me the look of 'woahh are you hiding something?' Like that.
"People who fell inlove really becomes weird, they just failed to notice yet." My heart beat race again after what Ginno said. No! No! erase the mere thoughts away. I'm not in love. If im in love who would it be?!
"Ohmy Kiari don't tell us you're inlove with weird lynee?" Marco ask. What? I'm inlove with lynee? No way!
"Tss! I don't like her she's annoying and irresponsible." I said with a cold voice.
"You mean irresponsible like that?" Mark said at tinuro niya si na nagbabasa.
"Ohmgezz we've been classmate for 3 years for heaven's miracle it was the first time she's not late. And look she's even reading a book." Mike said can't believe from what he saw. Really they been classmate for that long and it was the first time that she's not late? Maybe I'm wrong she's not irresponsible maybe there's a trouble she was facing right now.
I just nooded and start minding my own business.
My life was boring without them.
Mike and karl was in their genmath class right now. While, Ian and Marco they have a practice on music class at ang ugok na si Mike may ka meet up daw tapos si Ginno pumuntang states kahapon. So I will have a snack alone.
I'm on my way to cafeteria. The feeling when the wind blow againts your soul was nostalgic. I miss Kairo.
"One meduim fries and soda please." I said to the vendor.
"Okay Sir the usual." She confindently said.
I bring my food on our usual spot in the cafeteria. I was eating my fries and make myself busy scrolling up and down. I feel some sit in front of me but I didn't mind who it was.
"Hi Kiari!" Tss the beyond naught girl. I didn't mind her, I act like I don't hear her. "Hey kiari are you really busy or just prentending to be a busy person?" She said laughing a little with a little sarcastic.
"What do you want?" I ask her irritated.
"You." She said almost whisper. That husky tone annoys me more.
"You know what happened to a girl who fall inlove with me."Most of the girls who confess their feelings to me they end up basted. Even i'm man i don't wanna involve on a love story. Not yet ready for an epic love.
"Hahah yeah I know good thing you do that to them. I don't like competition." She said. And start drink my soda.
"You know what Alys just leave. You're annoying I don't like you." I said to her. I know she didn't see this coming but what should I do she's beyond every profanity.
"You know what kiari I won't stop." she said storm away.
I look at her leaving, But the weird accidentally spilled her soda on her.
"What the fuck weirdow?!" She said looking at her clothes drench in soda.
"I'm sorry Alys. It was an accident." Lynes said panicking and get her handkierchef on her pocket and wipe it on Alys' clothes. But alys push her way that made her fell on the floor.
"Don't touch me weirdow! Next time you'll land your nasty hand on me, I'll sure you to live your life here like hell!" Alys said with a high pitched voice and a browl that will almost reach the horizon
"I'm really sorry Alys. It was really an accident. If you'll let me I'll wash your clothes." She said begging, obvious she's scared why they all scared to her?
"Tss! You're dumber that I thought weirdow. Wanna wash my clothes?" Without any hesitation she said yes." How can you wash my clothes without using your nasty hands?" Alys said insulting.
"If you don't want me to wash your clothes just hhmm... I'll do anything you want." ngek seriously lynee you're stupid. What are you an effin' maid of Alys. tss.
"Really? okay then drink the spilled just on the floor." Sabay turo sa sahig. Don't tell me she'll do that. All the student in cafeteria was looking at them. It's like watching intense movie.
Alys was rich her family own a business in state and here in the philiphines but she act like a girl who grew up in squater. She's a evil. I stood I was supposed to live but huminto ako sa kanila. Sabi ng isip ko tulogan ko si Lynee.
Nagbent ako at tinulogan syang tumayo. Alam kung kahit hindi ako naka tingin lahat ng studyante na nandito pinagtitiginan kami. Nakatitig lang si Lynee sa mga mata ko. Parang takot na takot sya at umiiyak naawa ako sa kanya.
"What the heck? Really kiari you're helping that weirdow." Sabi ni Alys na parang nadidiri nanaiirita.
"Stop it Alys." I said in a cold serious tone. Napatingin sa 'kin si Alys. Alam kung nagulat sya kasi nakabuka ang bunganga niya.
"Woahh. since when did you become her prince charming? huh?" Sarkastik na tanong ni Alys at hangang naguon hindi parin bumababa ang kilay niya. Teka bakit nga ba ako naginv prince charming nito? Ayy hind! pribce chatming niya ba ako?!
"The day she gave me a letter." What? anong pinasasabi ko? nagmamal-function ata ang bibig at utak ko. Ang alam ko wala namang traffic sa spinal cord diba?
"Seriously kiari?! May i remind you we met at the bat tgat night because of the late I wrote for you." She said trying to convince me with her words.
"I know. Thank you for that letter, I notice this weirdow." Sabay turo kay lynee. Si Alys naman mas lalong nainis.
"You know kiari you have a power to make people fustrate and go crazy on words. I'm warning you Kiari you should stay away from ni weird bitch." Sabi niy nanliliksi na ang nga mata niya. "And you weird bitch!" Sigaw ni Alys at sinamapal niya si Lynee.
Napayuko naman si lynee habang hawak hawaka ng pisngi niya. Naawa ako sa kanya, Baliw na talaga si Alys.
"I'm warning you Alys, don't hurt her. Kung hindi ako ang makakalaban mo." Galit talaga ako sa babaeng nanakit yung piling maganda tapos bitch ayy kainis. Tapos kung sabihin yun hinila ko si Weird.
Nagstop kami sa parking log ng school. First time kung umabsent sa isang subject letcheng utak kasi nagmamal-function.
"Thank you kiari." she said shaking is she still scared?
"You know what you're annoying!" Sigaw ko sa kanya. Nagsisi naman ako biglang ng makita kung nagpunas sya ng luha.
"I'm sorry just don't defend me next time." Sabi niya nakatingin lang sya sa lupa. Minsan na isip ko bakit mas marami pang beses na tumingin sila sa lupa kis a sa taong kumakausap sa kanila? mas nakaka aliw ba kapa lupa ang hinarap mo?
"Learn to fight kapag na agrabyado kana. Don't lower your pride sa pinakamababaw na dahilan. Nakakairita" sabi ko sa kanya tapos tinignan niya ako.
"I'm not brave enough to defend myself. I'm nobody here. Thank you for what you did. Just pretend next time you didn't saw me. Baka ikaw pagbuntunan ng galit ni Alys." Ano 'to?! prinoprotektahan pa niya ako?!
"Bakit ba takot na takot kayo sa kanya?"
"Because she use her connections to bring people down in her life." Ahhh ganon pala. Pero mali sya at kapag nasa tama ka wala kang dapat na ika takot.
"I have to go Kiari, thanks ulit. Pangalawang beses na." Tapos umalis na sya.
