Chương 27: Confrontation

After the day at Haruki's house happened, Haruki got a call..

*Ring ring*

"Hello." Haruki says.

"Come to my office I have something to tell you." The boss says.

*hangs up*

Haruki sits in bed with Kaito for a couple minutes as he thinks, 'why does he need me? Does he know what happened? Well no one knew except Hiroshi and I don't think he remembered, would he even tell on me?'

Haruki ends up getting ready to go to his boss's office then leaves.

*Opens door*

"Haruki what took you so long?" The boss says as he's sitting in his chair.

"I'm sorry sir, I was talking with my roommate." Haruki says as he walks up to the desk and bows.

"I heard something yesterday, one of my workers and all of my workers are very diligent you know that right?" The boss leans into his desk and locks his fingers.

"Yes sir." Haruki says.

"They wouldn't lie to me, but one did. I had no idea because they have never lied to me before. Do you know who told me all this information?" The boss says as he's looking at Haruki with a smile.

"I did sir." Haruki says as he tightens his fist.

"Great. Now let me tell you what happened since you told me the truth just now. Hiroshi said that the kid I told you to kill is living with you. Why is that?" The boss asks as he leans back into his chair.

"He is a yokai sir, I want to train him." Haruki says without hesitation.

"Can he die? If so kill him. I don't care if he is one, I told you to do a job, I expect it done. And if you don't I'll kill everyone in your house, and you know I can make it possible." The boss says with a grin.

"Yea sir." Haruki smiles.

"You may go." The boss say's uninterested.

"Thank you sir." Haruki says and bows.

Haruki goes home.

*Knock knock*

"Rei? Can I talk to you." Haruki says as he's at her door.

Rei opens the door, "hey! I'm sorry haha. What's up?"

"My boss is being a big piece of work, he said I have to get rid of someone or else I'll get fired and idk what to do but the person that got me in trouble is one of my friends, so what should I do?" Haruki says as he's worried.

"I would say go talk to your friend that got you in trouble and clear up the situation. They're putting things on you. And yes it does feel bad getting rid of someone but just keep them there. The more people the better and you shouldn't get fired for it that ridiculous." Rei says as she scoffs.

"So I should talk to my friend, okay got it. Thank you so much Rei." Haruki hugs Rei.

"Ah no problem." She starts to blush as she hugs him back.

Haruki pulls back out of the hug, "okay I'm going to be back, we can eat when I get back okay?"

"Okay be careful stay safe!" She says she smiles wide.

Haruki walks into his room before he leaves and sees that Kaito is okay, 'I wonder why he wants me to kill a 4 year old boy…'

Kaito is sound asleep…

Haruki leaves his home then goes to Hiroshi.

*Knock knock*

"Who is it?" Hiroshi says as he opens the door slightly.

Haruki grabs the door and pulls it opened, "you told on me? For keeping a 4 year old boy that has no home and is a yokai that can't even control his powers!"

"Woah woah, I only did my job. I don't want to die." Hiroshi says as his hands are up covering his face.

"You will die if you keep this bullsh*t up. If you say something again I will kill you with my bare hands." Haruki says as his aura starts suffocating Hiroshi.

"I'm sorry, I just thought that I wouldn't die and were friends I defied you I'm sorry.." Hiroshi starts to cry as he gets more scared.

"You did this before and they died because of you, I'm not letting that happen again." Haruki glares at Hiroshi.

Hiroshi thinks to himself, 'he's never acted this way, what did the boss tell him?'
