"Huh? Who are you, lady? My grandmother is dead. At least that's what dad told me." I look at my father for answers.

"I see you've not told your favorite son about me. Should I take this as a sign that you need more training, Henry?"

"It's not that, Grandmother. It's just that you havnt been around lately, and you never came up in conversation." The king tries to find an excuse.

"Not good enough. When this mess is cleaned up, I think I'll give you a recap on your former training." She spoke in an insidious tone that caused my father to sweat profusely. He was practically cowering behind my mother.

"Lady Amelia, please go easy on him. He's been very busy lately, and a lot has happened." Mother stands up and intervenes before things got messy.

"So, you're my great grandmother?" I ask. Still slightly confused.

"No, I guess you can say I'm your ancestor. If you had to get technical I'm your great many times over grandmother." She explains and takes a seat next to me.

"Wow, you're pretty old then, huh." The words come out of my mouth before I could think, and the room grew colder by a few degrees.

"What did you say, sweetheart?" She turns to me with a sickeningly sweet smile, but her eyes aren't smiling.

"He said that you're pretty. Didn't you, sweetie?" My mother tries to save me.

"Nope, I said your pretty old. You shouldn't take it to heart, though. I mean you have to be what? How many hundreds of years old? You should be used to your age by now." I say, not caring how she reacts. I doubt she'd hurt a child, and I also have Souei just in case.

"Haha, you've got fire in you, grandson. I'll train you when we get back." Amelia laughs. Everyone in the room is looking at me with pity. I don't see the problem though. Based on how she seems to be leading this group of elders, she's probably the strongest. She just said she would train me, and as long as she actually trains me, I won't have any complaints.

"Thanks, I look forward to it." I say.

The rest of the meeting was spent on deciding when the elders would join the fight. The question was should we wait for the enemy elders to make the first move, or should we take initiative and strike first. I was on the side of striking first. In most fights, the one to strike first wins. Why wait to be attacked when we know it's coming. The majority seemed to agree with me and we came up with a strategy that I think is perfect.

The next morning, the soldiers in both sides were dressed and ready for war. The rebel army marched forward again, and started with the same strategy as yesterday. Magic flew everywhere as the siege towers and battering rams were set up. Everything was the same as yesterday, as if to lull us into a false sense of security. I could feel that the enemy was planning something, but they waited longer than they should have. Before the enemy could send out their elders, our elders joined the battle.

The mage elders struck first, and hundreds of thousands of arrows made of all sorts of elements appeared in the sky above the rebel army. A second later and it rained arrows on the enemy lines. The fighter elders struck next, and attacked the siege towers, and battering rams. Some cut them clean in half, and others simply punched them breaking the metal with their fists. The elder wind mages took to the sky creating a huge tornado in the center of the enemy lines. At this point the enemy elders entered the battle, but it was to late.

There original plan was to attack the gate once everything was set up. Destroying the gate and making an entrance for the rebel army. After the initial attack, they were to kill as many of the kings soldiers as possible before the other sides elders reacted. These plans were thwarted easily by us simply attacking first. We've cut down the rebel army's numbers considerably, and now the enemy elders will be preoccupied with our elders. As if waiting for this moment the gates open, and our cavalry shoots out of the fortress. The enemy lines are in shambles, so the rebel army is easy pickings.

The elders are having a grand battle in the sky and on the ground. The wind Mage's are shooting through the sky, and firing spell after spell at one another. The fighters are fighting each other, and at the same time protecting the Mage's on the ground from enemy fighters getting to close. The fighters are creating huge craters in the ground everywhere they go. The elders fighting and the soldiers fighting is like comparing Superman to Captain America. The Captain is strong, but Superman is Superman, you know? The most insane fight in my opinion is the fight between grandmother and this other old woman.

Grandmother is a fire mage like father and I, or should I say we are fire Mage's like her. She did come first after all. The other woman is a water mage dressed in blue robes. You would think water would beat fire like in Pokémon, but they seemed to be evenly matched. Maybe grandmother is a higher rank then her, and that evened it out somehow? The battle was fierce as grandma shoots spear after spear of fire at the woman in blue. Every spear she shoots would hit a shield of water conjured out of thin air. The woman in the blue robe was shooting hundreds of arrows at a time at Her, but when they would get in a certain distance, they would boil and turn to steam vanishing into the air.

The elders of our side slowly but surely moved their battle farther away from the battling soldiers. Better to keep the fighting Superman like elders away from any allies. The cavalry is running through the enemy lines, demolishing them with every pass. Soon the enemy cavalry arrives, and our cavalry retreats to the fortress gate. The enemy cavalry gives chase, but chases to far and gets into range of the Mage's on the walls. Magic rains down upon them, and they circle back to they're camp being sure to avoid the brawling elders. They lost a third of their cavalry before they got away.

When the sun started to set, the enemy retreated the their camp again. After returning to the camp, the sounds of battle could still be heard, as the elders stayed behind and haven't stopped their brawl. Neither side thought of assisting their elders, because doing so would be asking for death. Everyone on either side of the war knows that when elders fight you simply move far away and hope your side wins. As the night moved forward, the elders haven't tired one bit. I could have Souei end the fight, but I'd rather not kill elders of my own country. Sooner or later another country is going to attack us, and elders are like the nuclear bombs of this world. I'd rather have as many nukes as I can get my hands on. Thinking of a way to end the fighting before our kingdom loses some of its major weapons, Nova and I appear in the middle of the battlefield in a flash of fire.

"Time out. Let's take a break, shall we?" I say, as I form a 'T' with my hands.
