Chương 15: Meeting Dragon & Fight with Smoker
They reached the port of Logue town. Luffy exclaimed " This is the town where the Pirate King was executed. " Sanji " I think, I should by supplies to our ship. " Zoro asked Nami " Can you lend me some money? I want to buy two swords " Nami agreed immediately with a cute grin and said " Only with the condition of 300% interest. " For some reason Zoro felt that the smile is just similar to the smile of the devil. But he gritted his teeth and got the money from Nami.
Sam reminded Nami " Nami, when you purchase don't forget to get an Item named Log Pose. " Nami with some confusion asked " Why? " Sam felt that he better explain it to her. " You see Nami, The magnetic field in Grand line is special which makes the magnet in the Sea Compass moves in disorder. " Nami exclaimed " What!? " and Sam continued explaining " There is a special magnetic field connection between each Island in the Grand Line. And log pose is used to record the magnetic field of the island which will always point towards the next Island. So unless you have a log pose sailing in Grand Line is Suicide. " Nami now understood the importance of the Log Pose.
Nami asked with uncertainty " Sam, will you come shopping with me? " After she asked out she is blushed too hard. She was nervous about Sam's reply. Sam wanted to refuse her but seeing her face. He felt If he said No then it will be one of the Greatest Mistake. He said " Ok, I will accompany you. " Nami was happy, she immediately caught his hand and took him to a dress shop, She took almost all the dress in the shop and got every thing tried out in trail room. At start Sam was enjoying Nami's looks though he kept a neutral face. But soon he started to feel the horror of accompanying a women when shopping.
After tried out almost all the dress. Nami looked at the smiling shop keeper and said " All your dress looks great on special occasions but, I don't need such grand outfits so Sorry, next time " She took Sam out from the shop making the both Sam and Shopkeeper speechless.
While they went to a Accessories shop and bought a log pose and they also got 3 Den Den Mushi. And some papers for map drawing and they went to a book shop. To buy some books about Grand line under Sam's advice. He bought some books on martial techniques on Halberd weapons and Staff techniques which he searched for almost half an hour in group of fake martial technique books.
He bought these two books specially for Usopp and Nami to train in. Halbred technique will compliment Usopp's Kabuto. If it is possible he could use his Kabuto as both Halbred and as well as snipe which can shoot. He must discuss with Usopp for designing the actual weapon though. He skimmed almost all the Halbred and Staff techniques. And found out there were Three techniques in Halbred and 5 techniques in Staff will be useful. He used his Sharingan to memorize all the contents.
He bought only 2 books for martial technique. So that he don't have to write it out. And he wants Nami and Usopp to put their own efforts and have their own understanding in the techniques. In all these shopping Spree, he found one thing, If he went shopping with Nami, they can get a minimum of 90% discount. She is such a rip off. Sam prayed for all the shopkeepers that she was about to visit. And after she went to a normal Clothing store.
After some time, the quality time is over, When they were about to leave for the ship, Nami frowned. Seeing the frown on her face, Sam Asked " What's the matter? " There is a sudden decrease in the air Pressure. We are about to have a storm comming. " Sam knew that the time has come, he immediately said to Nami " Nami, get to the ship. I have some thing to Check out. And If its late just set Sail. I can catch you up with my Eagle. " Nami asked in a concerned tone " Why? "
Sam answered " I think something huge is about to happen. And I must make sure that everyone is safe. " As he said that he immediately used his Body Flicker jutsu and vanished from his position taking a Den Den mushi. Nami on the other hand got his wet proof bags. Sam searched for Dragon in the surrounding areas of Execution Platform were Buggy is making a ruckus.
And at one of the top building he found a man with green cape almost twice Sam's own height. Without Hesitation he used his Body Flickering Technique he flashed near the man. The man has a Scar's on his face and he looked exactly like a Pro Villian which almost makes most of the Kids scared. The man was leader of the revolutionary army Monkey. D Dragon.
Dragon inspected Sam with interest. Hey kid " Why are you not saving your Captain there and looking for me. " Sam did not answer him. And just used his Shadow Clone Jutsu and created a single Shadow Clone. And the clone left towards the Scaffold just in case anything wrong happens. Dragon looked at him with Interest. Sam said " My Captain is the man who would become the king of the Pirates, So he wouldn't die here now. " He spoke with great confidence.
But his expression turned serious he said " I want to form a partnership with the revolutionary army on the behalf of Straw Hat Pirates. " Dragon who heard this was shocked for some time but he did not show it in his face. " Hey Kid, what gives you the qualification to ask for a partnership with me. Even if requesting partnership, It must be from your Captain right. " Sam just said " Unlike my Captain and the rest of my crew, I knew the dark side of the World Government and also about the Underworld. My captain may live the life freely as a Pirate but It will definitely affect our closed ones. When we start to have a name for ourselves in the Grand Line. "
He continued " I want to help Luffy in his journey and I will bear the Burdens for his Sake. As for my crew's qualification, you could say it is more like an investment. All I can guarantee is my Captain will become a Pirate King in the future and will turn the entire world upside down. " Dragon looked at him for a while. He could tell that if a person is telling the truth or not, by just looking at their eyes. He could feel his words are genuine.

I will share you any potential information that seem's useful to Revelutionary and you will share any potential information that may affect us in any way. "
Dragon gave him a Rock Den Den Mushi statue. Dragon " This is a Non Traceable Transmitter/Receiver, use this along with your Den Den Mushi. "And he gave a number " This is the number of one of my revolutionary army member Koala, she will contact you and if you need something you can call her. "
And suddenly Sam's clone dispersed. Which made him turn to scaffold. When he turned back, Dragon was long gone. Sam immediately used his Body Flicker and traveled to Scaffold where Luffy is about to be executioned. Luffy said at the platform " Zoro, Sanji, Sam, Usopp, Nami I am Dead " with a smile. But he was saved by a massive lightning. Sam was afraid that his presence as affected the storyline. But it did not change as much. Sam was freaked out when his clone got accidentally killed by a Sword's scratch.
Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Sam ran towards the ship. There was a women with glasses and a sword was standing with angered face. She is to beautiful. That women is none other than Tashigi. Sam " Wow, quite a beauty. " Tashigi said " Roronoa Zoro, I shall punish you for what have you done. " Sanji " Hey Mosshead what have you done to the pretty lady. " Before they start their useless quarrel. Sam dragged Sanji and Luffy and said " Zoro, The ship will be waiting for you. Come soon " Zoro nodded and got to his battle stance.
After that little incident after running for 2 minutes. They saw a man with 2 cigars in his mouth with a Long jute in his hand. And a motorcycle at his back. He is the White Chase Smoker, monster of the Logue Town. He declared to Luffy " Straw Hat Luffy, I will not allow you and your crew to leave this Island. "
Luffy immediately used his " Gum Gum Pistol " and Sanji used his kick but both of it went through him. It did not affect him the least. When he was about to attack Luffy with the Jute, a Kunai knife was thrown straight towards him. Smoker perceived danger and dodged it but still he was little slow which cut his cheeks slightly and blood started dripping from the cut.
Smoker saw Sam standing with his Kusanagi Sword unsheathed. Sam asked Sanji " Sanji get Luffy and Move to Merry, I will join you guys afterwards. Nami knows what to do. " He then immediately used his body flickering Jutsu and normal sword moves. He clashed with Smoker. And to Smoker's surprise he can feel that it is nor Haki neither Sea stone weapon. But he could not find what energy he is using to attack him.
Sam activated his Sharingan and parried all of Smoker's attacks. Though Smoker is in disadvantage due to Sam's Sharingan seeing through all his attacks, he could still escape from Sam's attacks with his experience but still got multiple small bruises. Their fight started to affect their surroundings with sword cuts and destructions.
Smoker did not talk anything useless. But he could feel that he is starting to loose. Sam was improving at a steady pace. With his Sharingan he could see the weakness in Smokers attack as clear as the day. But Sam also feeling his Chakra is draining at a fast rate. It is taxing for him to project his Chakra in his weapon. Either he must strike Smoker in a decisive Strike to finish him off or runaway from Smoker at the very first Chance.
At this situation, he will be unable to strike any killing move to Smoker, as Smoker will dodge him due to his battle experience. Both of them are reaching their limits. Sam can't escape soon, since Smoker will start chase other Straw Hats. He will not bet on Dragon helping him. Since his presence in the timeline there were many small changes in the fights but which may have resulted death in some of the members such as Don Kreig releasing his poison Gas but Gin did not help with the Gas mask. In Arlong Pirates fight, Ussop would have been dead in his fight with Chu if not for his shadow Clone.
Soon Zoro came to the fighting Spot where Sam and Smoker is fighting. Sam saw that this idiot had got lost while escaping. Zoro " Hey Sam, Mind telling me where is the Ship. " Sam couldn't help but curse inwardly at this Moss Head's sense of direction. Smoker yelled " Roronoa you and your friend will not be able to leave this Island and I will soon capture the rest of your Crew.
Sam could see that other Marines also started to Round up. With some of the Chakra left he used Summoning Jutsu and summoned the Eagle. He gave the command " Pick that Mosshead and leave immediately to the ship. " The Eagle without waiting for Zoro, picked him with his Beak and flew at the fast Speed.
Sam on the other hand was standing with his Kusanagi Blade between Marines and the Port. When Smoker was about to charge with his Jute. A hand touched the Shoulder when he turned out he saw a man with Green Cape stopping him
