Their walk back to the apartment was done in complete silence, contrary to the raging tension inside their bodies. They chose to embrace the short, but felt considerably long, time they needed to traverse the empty street under the cold, starless sky.

The assurance that they had a connection, regardless of the means, was like poison coursing through their veins.
