Yielya rubbed her temples. This entire raid was filled with issues. She entirely pinned the blame on Akiol, under normal circumstances a raid like this should've been planned for months. With a proper grasp on their opponent's abilities. Instead she was forced to make constant adjustments to their strategy. With every card turned she had to make a different play and it was starting to wear down her mind.
Pointing her staff to the side she healed a random guild player, the next moment a worn blade carved into them. Thanks to her healing they remained alive, but their HP remained in the danger zone.
Now that the territory had changed, and Akiol stopped responding to her calls, there was a need for her to figure out what their next move was. Taking a moment she inhaled and closed her eyes. What exactly was Akiol's goal?
Their goal was Orothus and his generals. In order to clear the debt of Goldlight. That much was certain. If he had gone directly to the Undead King then he was currently fighting the Fourth Stage. There was no way he could defeat such a foe alone, even if he had every Third Stage fighter with him there wasn't a good chance of victory. At most he could buy time.
Yielya opened her eyes. It was buying time! Of course!
Her goal shouldn't be progressing the raid, it should be eliminating the more dangerous threats as quickly as possible! Once the targets were down they could retreat! There remained a chance that the Undead King would strike back after the raid happened, but that would risk offending various powers stronger than the raid force.
Okay! This much was doable!
"Kan'na! Progress on Orothus?", Yielya asked.
"Working on it!", Kan'na swiftly replied.
Kan'na hadn't responded with a definitive answer, meaning she was unsure. There was likely a factor she had yet to figure out. Fine, she could check on that later. Looking towards another direction she asked, "Jarvis! How are our elites handling the Generals?"
"They're doing fine, won't be needing assistance.", Jarvis replied calmly.
Jarvis wasn't really participating in this fight. He mostly just used his tames to keep himself updated on the goings, providing a bit of assistance when it was needed. He dared not risk any of his tames on this fight.
Since Jarvis said they didn't need help Yielya turned her attention towards the Guilds, "Report in the rest of you, how are we looking on Guild Flags? What's your resources looking like?"
"Raven Thread is in the clear! We recovered after the Territory changed!", Seven Vows was the first to answer.
"Jigsaw is okay! We faced the brunt of the Territory change and are short on equipment, we likely have about one more round of respawns until it becomes pointless!", Quake answered.
"Jumpstart is fine, we're okay on respawns too!", Torn Choice was confident in his assessment.
"Amber Embassy is just fine too!", Herons kept their reply short.
"Venturing Deities is struggling west side!"
"Wyvern Tail clearing up the old undead, we're fine!"
"Backbone is okay!"
"Legend running low on equipment!"
"Marionette is alright, no more respawns from us though!"
Yielya kept note of all their reports while assessing the battlefield. With another command she asked, "Torch! How are your bots holding up?"
The mechanical voice responded with a single word, "Busy."
Suppressing the urge to click her tongue Yielya continued to think. The constant fighting was clearly wearing down the Guilds. So what about the Third Stage enemies? Orothus and Harreth should be handled by Mira and Kan'na. The vampire was in battle with the Dragons and Opportunity. It was highly doubtful that he was keeping them occupied. That left the ghost who had disappeared from the battlefield.
Having reviewed everything Yielya finally came to a conclusion. The tides were surprisingly in their favor! With how everything was progressing. . . she finally made her choice for their next move!
"No more holding back! Your goals aren't to survive, it's to take down any undead you physically can! The Undead King is finally acting, which means we do as much damage as possible before pulling out!"
"Okay!", replied many of the Guild Leaders.
As the order spread out amongst the Guilds Yielya watched as their efforts made a visual change in intensity. Stronger and more violent Skills were being thrown out and the undead were being slaughtered at a faster pace. Originally they were conserving their resources for the upcoming horde, but Torch was doing a stellar job keeping them at bay with his army that Yielya no longer considered it as a threat.
What really mattered was if the others could take down the generals and the Third Stage fighters! With a final glance towards the castle Yielya muttered, "You better not make all of this be for naught Akiol!"

Bzzt- -!
A robot violently shuddered before falling into various pieces. Torch grit his teeth and leapt back, several bombs rolling out of his feet and exploding to cover his tracks.
The change in Territory may have been a relief for the others, but it was proving to be the opposite for him! Excluding the fact that the undead were now pushing his front line with a newfound intensity, the undead player was given a new breath of life!
Along with their own buffs, the Territory made them rise to a whole new level. With strength and speed now beyond that of your standard Berserk Skill, the undead player was charging through his robots as if they were paper!
The Death Knight's extra strength was now enough to contend against one of his Knights of the Round. The giant mech was whirring with its might to not topple over in a clash of strength. Through the explosion an undead rushed through the flames. A grin plastered on their face.
"Where was your confidence just earlier?", their coarse voice mocked.
His resourced were rapidly declining and he couldn't keep diverting his forces to buy time. Raising his wrist he went to tap on his interface but the square shaped sword was flung forward and embedded itself into his shoulder. Rapidly his arm lost power and turned limp.
Reaching up he pulled the machete free. Looking at the weapon he gained an idea and threw it far. The undead player barely flinched and instead continued their mocking, "As a general there still remains a key weakness. You're required to give orders to your machines, so what would happen to them if you're no longer able to do such things?"
The metal blade shot out of Torch's wrist. It was true, his machines weren't really capable of fully working without a specific input. When it came to his construction bots he fed them blueprints for them to work. For his battle oriented bots they required a series of basic instructions. The front line would be fine for a little while, but if something out of the standard happened they wouldn't react to it.
In the end the machine only did as it was programmed to do!
"You have a lot of confidence for someone who threw away their weapon.", Torch responded.
"That old thing?", the undead player grinned.
Reaching out a palm the flash of light appeared again. A skeleton arm shot out of the ground and handed another worn weapon to the undead. It was shaped exactly like the machete Torch threw out. Either the weapon was able to be summoned, or it was mass produced. Considering the undead's lackluster equipment Torch figured it to be the latter.
Pointing it towards Torch the undead player asked, "So what would happen if I remove you from the equation entirely. Do your machines stop working?"
"A machine will complete its purpose."
The undead player shot forward at speed Torch couldn't see, but his sensors picked it up! Using the incoming warnings Torch swung to the side. His wrist blade bent violently as it clashed against the machete. Immediately it was ejected as Torch outstretched his arm. Gripping onto the ribcage of the undead he heaved them upwards before slamming them into the ground. From his shoulder arose a weapon, a missile's tip poking through.
Shooting it point blank the explosion consumed the two. Flames spread and blocked any sight of these two generals. As it flickered out it revealed the shining skull of the undead player, their flesh having been blasted away in the explosion. Yet it slowly crawled back onto their face.
"What?"
The Territory hadn't changed! So what was this regeneration?
"Ironically enough, due to my race change being a bug my standard stats kept certain aspects a standard human would have. A normal undead can't regenerate their HP like a normal player race can. However I can!"
Gripping Torch's arm they ripped it free! Torch stumbled back and mentally silenced the warnings his body was giving.
Much like how Akiol's race change bug allowed mana regeneration--a feat slimes were normally incapable of--the undead player's race change bug allowed HP regeneration! Having made his build based around this fact the undead player was someone who grew stronger with the damage they received while regenerating any lost HP! Meaning it was truly an unyielding undead!
Opening his chest cavity Torch fired all his weapons, missiles and bombs sprinkled out making a series of fireballs from the explosions. As the undead player walked through the explosions they rose their machete. Stepping forward a spike shot through Torch's foot and impaled the foot of the undead player. They almost made a questioning gaze when Torch's face split apart.
BRRRR-!
A beam of mana shot forth and nearly took the head off the undead player. With their superior stats they were capable of reacting fast enough to dodge the attack. Their grin remained unwavering, "Very clever!"
Their machete swung downwards and cleaved Torch into two. His body whirred as it tried to function, but slowly power ran out and his vision went dark.
< Fatal Error: Prototype 7-B has suffered a catastrophic failure >
< Running backup program. . . >
< Loading Prototype 7-C >
A carrier spider lowered itself onto the ground and its back split apart. Steam bellowed from the cracks as it revealed what was inside. A nearly identical body to Torch's began to whir to life. As the eyes lit up he sighed, "All systems functional. Weapons online. Energy levels max. Okay, time for round two. I'm prepared this time."
Stepping onto the ground he headed towards where he fell previously. It paid to have contingencies!
