[Johan's POV]
"Did he not tell where he was going?"
Raymond only shook his head at Nick's question. "He said he needs to smoke, so I told him to wait because I had one in my bag. When I get back down, he's gone. I thought he just went to the store."
Johan frowned, catching a certain detail through Raymond's narrative. "Since when did you start smoking?"
The guilty smile on Raymond's lips deepened his scowl. "I only smoke occasionally."
"I hope you're not smoking in front of your kid," Johan huffed, displeased at the idea of Raymond touching a cigarette while he had a son to babysit. He may not have plans to become a parent, but it infuriated him to see a father with little regard to his son's well-being.
Walking out of their house, Johan fished out his phone to reactivate his old number and call Adrian. No matter how many times he dialed his number, however, the call wouldn't go through.
