The Wizard
Simon Magus was born during the last year before the beginning of the Christian era in Gitta, a small Samaritan village of mages in the Roman province of Syria. Initially trained in magic by his father and the village elders, Simon soon grew dissatisfied with the simple lifestyle of his village and traveled to Alexandria Egypt, where he studied at the famous Alexandria Academy of Magic and exhibited a great talent for the casting of Air and Fire spells. Upon graduation, he earned his living as a street performer of magic. In the cosmopolitan city of Alexandria, he met travelers from all over the Roman Empire. He soon decided to move the Rome, the center of Western Civilization, where he hoped to become rich and famous.
