Chương 116: Acceptance and moving on.
Inside the apartment, Aaron just changed his t-shirt.
He is now wearing a white jersey of German national team of football.
The jersey also belongs to Sabastian's.
In the living room, Aaron sat beside Yong-Hyeon on the sofa.
Yong-Hyeon was watching one piece episode 234.
Nothing to do aside from keeping an eye on the kid, Aaron also started watching the anime with Yong-Hyeon.
A couple of minutes later, Yong-Hyeon spoke up without turning his face from the TV.
"Why did you lie to mom that you are not busy today?"
"I did not lie, what makes you think I lied?" Aaron replied turning his head to Yong-Hyeon.
He was curious about how did this little devil figure out that he lied?
"I overheard you a couple of days ago, on the stairs when you were talking to someone on your phone."
"Is that so... Yes, I did lie."
"You like my mom right?" Yong-Hyeon said turning to Aaron.
He had a serious look on his face, Aaron was surprised but he didn't let it show on his face.
"Is that too obvious? What little detective you are Mr 'I'm not a kid'!" Aaron said making fun of the little guy.
In the past few days, Aaron and Yong-Hyeon hung out often.
So he kind of got a good grasp on this little kid's personality.
Young-Hyeon is an obedient child. He is direct, cold and is not embarrassed to bring up uncomfortable topics also he can be very outspoken. He is young but very intelligent and highly perceptive. He is very protective of her mother and will do anything to make her happy and worry-free, very mature for his age.
Yong-Hyeon rolled his eyes at Aaron hearing his sarcastic remark.
There was a moment of silence before Aaron spoke up.
"Yes."
"I am in love with your mom."
Yong-Hyeon heard Aaron and fell silent.
When Yong-Hyeon heard the answer, he was feeling a bit repulsed by the idea of someone being closed to his mom but he also felt if it's this guy then, it's okay.
Yong-Hyeon was kind of puzzled by his own thoughts.
Why does he feel too comfortable around this sick idiot guy?
The sickly big guy is younger than his mom also this sick idiot is not too much older than him.
It's only a 10-year difference between himself and Aaron.
Yong-Hyeon just sometimes find Aaron annoying but he is a cool person to hang out with.
And there's a tiny part of him saying the idea of this big sickly blob head as his father isn't that bad.
Yong-Hyeon was confused thinking all sorts of things.
Aaron observing Yong-Hyeon intently, kind of guess what the little guy was thinking.
Yong-Hyeon without his own knowledge was making many different kinds of expression on his face.
Suddenly, Yong-Hyeon remembering something felt sad for himself and Aaron.
"Well, It's not possible as we are going to move soon from this city to elsewhere." Yong-Hyeon told Aaron.
Aaron was shocked by hearing Yong-Hyeon.
He felt a sudden twinge in his heart.
'Whaaaat!!!' He screamed in his mind.
Many sorts of scenarios ran through his mind and all of them were negative.
Calming his mind after some time, Aaron asked Yong-Hyeon.
"Where are you and your mom moving to?"
"Starfall City."
Before Aaron felt all hope was lost.
But hearing the name of the city Choi Li Hwa and Yong-Hyeon is moving to, Aaron felt rejuvenated.
The hope that seemed to have left him a few moments ago, came back like they were pulling pranks on his poor soul.
"I see, so when are you and your mother moving to Starfall city?"
"Maybe in a month or so? Mom still has work to do. Mom said she has been transferred to a new school. So until her current work finishes, we will be here for at least a month I think. Why are you not that surprised? I thought you will at least show some feelings, but looking at you? You don't seem to have any expression on your face."
Yong-Hyeon observing Aaron said.
"Trust me, kid! I was really shocked but didn't show any emotions on my face. It's kind of a habit now, inwardly there's a raging storm inside my mind!"
"Really? Wow, you really are something. To be honest I didn't understand anything you said but I will pretend I understand and go back to watching my anime."
Turning away from Aaron, Yong-Hyeon resumed watching his anime.
Aaron, on the other hand, felt his head hurt hearing Yong-Hyeon.
Aaron sighed before he started to think about his future plans.
Aaron felt like he fell into some quicksand of love.
The more he struggles, the more he sinks deeper into it.
Aaron's feelings for Choi Li Hwa is deepening every second.
Aaron thought for an hour before he concluded that he needs to find out where Choi Li Hwa is being transferred to. Also, he needs to figure out how to woo that woman!
It will not be easy or it might be easy, who knows.
But Aaron is sure that he needs to make Choi Li Hwa conscious of him.
And the key to Choi Li Hwa's heart is this little devil, Yong-Hyeon.
Aaron thought for a moment before he spoke up.
"So, is it okay if I date your mom?"
Yong-Hyeon stiffened up when he heard Aaron.
He turned to Aaron and looked at his face for a few couples of minutes in thought before he said, "Do you really love my mom? Do you really mean it? She is older than you and she is not that rich as you also she has me. So tell me, do you really love my mom and will also accept her the way she is and me?"
Aaron replied instantly, there wasn't a moment of hesitation or he needed to think for a minute to give a thought about it.
Aaron knows what he wants, what his heart wants.
"Yes, I love your mom, Choi Li Hwa. I don't care about what others will think about the age gap and whatnot, I only care about what your mother thinks and what you think! I don't care about money, I'm rich you know! I'm in love with your mom and I'm falling in love deeper and deeper and deeper with her every second. As for you, what about you? You are her child, so you are family. I will gladly accept you, Choi Yong-Hyeon."
Aaron with a serious face said to Yong-Hyeon.
There was a moment of silence.
Yong-Hyeon was staring at Aaron and was in deep thought.
"You're not a bad guy."
"You're annoying but I don't dislike you."
"I won't mind sharing my mom with you."
"But if you ever make her cry, I will kill you!"
"Don't look down on me just because I'm a kid! I mean it."
"I have seen how you look at my mother."
"So, I will help you slightly. But don't think that I will support you or anything. You have to be worthy to be my father and someone worthy for my mother!"
"I only wish for my mother's happiness and nothing more."
"If you are only going to pursue her now then later leave her? You should just forget everything about her."
"So promise me, promise me that you will make her happy!"
Aaron gave a smile to Aaron and patted the little devil's head.
"I promise you, Yong-Hyeon. I Aaron Christopher Blood, will not break her heart, will not leave her not will ever make her unhappy! I promise you that I will cherish your mother more than my life!"
"I swear on my friendship with 'Darkness'"
Yong-Hyeon accepted Aaron for now.
But hearing the last sentence of Aaron, Yong-Hyeon started to have second thoughts.
"Are you one of those edgy weeb? What's with darkness? I don't want a weirdo for my mother and me."
Aaron burst out laughing hearing Yong-Hyeon.
"Hahaha! Just ignore the last part I was trying to sound cool but it seems like I failed."
Ignoring the weirdo, Yong-Hyeon went back to watching anime.
Aaron lied to Yong-Hyeon about sounding cool part.
He leaned his head back on the sofa and closed his eyes.
For the first time since his rebirth in this universe.
Aaron felt a connection that he thought he lost after 'he' reincarnated.
Although it was for a brief moment, Aaron felt it before it disappeared like it was just an illusion.
The connection he had with his best friend.
The Goddess he believes in.
The 'sacred vow' that Aaron made to Yong-Hyeon was acknowledged by his best friend 'Darkness'.
"Give me your blessing Darkness, for the first time I ask for your blessing, my friend."
Aaron muttered softly.
An ethereal melodious voice resounded on Aaron's mind.
The pleasant-sounding voice belongs to a woman.
"I wish you love, peace and happiness my dear friend."
Smiling, Aaron replied to the voice in his head.
"Goodbye, Darkness my old friend."
Then Aaron felt it, the connection with Darkness that he has in his soul.
But right after he confirmed it, the connection shattered and lost forever.
'Ian Devon Ceres' finally moved on from his previous life.
