Chương 8: Chapter VIII
Myung-Dae POV:
"She is fast asleep"
One of the maids of the castle informed me which I have assigned for my Anastasia. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth knowing that she would be in peace but only for some time being.
Things would have been easy by now for both of us if her father wouldn't have cancelled the betrothal between Anastasia and me.
Thinking about his father I remembered that I have some unfinished business to attend. Leaving the throne room I made my way down the stairs of the castle to the dungeons. The smell of dead and blood filled my nose but that didn't affect me because I am used to it now. I climbed down the stairs and continued my way to the cell where her father is. Upon reaching there I ordered one of my guards to open the cell. He quickly obliged. I made my way in the cell where her father is chained to the walls. He has not been tortured because I know if I would do something like that my Anastasia would hate me more and that is something I do not want.
He lifted his head from the ground and his eyes landed on me. I smirked seeing the determination on his face. That won't be for long.
"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER! WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN HER I SWEAR TO GOD THAT IF SHE HAS A SINGLE SCRATCH ON HER I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS"
His words angered me to no extent. He thinks that I will hurt my own Anastasia. I can not think of something like this. I stayed calm while on the inside I was boiling with anger.
"You think that I have attacked your kingdom and taken Anastasia only to get her hurt?" I questioned and continued "But if you think something like that old man I can never hurt my Anastasia. I take care of those whom I love"
He only smirked and said, "You think you can love someone NO you pathetic excuse of a king and if we believe for a second that you love my daughter do you think that she will ever love you?" He retorted. How dare he?
"You know the reason why you are still alive is that you are my Anastasia's father and as we all know I do not want her to hate me"
In return, he only laughed, "Do you think that she does not hate you already? My daughter is smart enough to know already that you are the one who attacked my kingdom"
"Don't tire yourself, she already knows about it" Well I still didn't confess to her that I am the one who is all behind this but I know she knows it.
His smirk only widened, "But does she know that you killed Alice who was a mother figure to her does she know that you have chained her father does she know that you killed the persons she used to call friends does she knows that you are the one who destroyed the place she used to call home?"
His words hit me like an arrow. Knowing that everything he is saying is partially the truth.
"She doesn't need to know all of this" Because if she knows, it will be of no use. Saying that I made my way out of the dungeons.
The answer is simple: she is going to stay with me no matter what. Even if she is not happy with this she is mine and she will be mine no matter what even if she hates me. I will not allow her to leave me.
