Just as Aurora was about to toss the silver clump of nanites away, the nanites twirled in her palm, receiving a signal that was originally meant for Zeel…
"Hmmm…" Aurora quirked a brow, doubtful that listening to the transmission would prove anything useful but never in her wildest dreams she could imagine what a goldmine it was…

Crystal had all the innate knowledge of Homo-Superiors, but her emotional view on things always conflicted with knowledge ingrained in her subconscious…
Needless to say, Crystal often suffered from a major identity crisis…
Sometimes, she would be a cute loving child, allowing her mother Jill to hold her, but other times, she would be as calculating as Zeel, at which times, Jill would have to stay far away…
"Time for studies…" Stars called out, knowing that Crystal was ignoring her…
"Psh… I am half Homo-Superior… we don't need to study!" Crystal argued, cheeks puffed as she balanced her slightly chubby body on the edge of the wall that separated civilization from the mutated zombies…
"Don't you wanna be smart for when your father comes to see you?" Stars coaxed and Crystal faltered, codes flickering across her pupils as she downloaded all the information from the transparent chips in Star's hands…
If there was one thing that Crystal responded to… it was anything Stars said using Zeel's name…
Crystal sometimes dreamed of Zeel… a benefit awarded to her through their father-daughter bond; though, she could not see a lot, just a vague impression of battles with Gods and Monsters…
"When is he coming back…" Crystal questioned Stars, and the Sentient could only respond as she always did…
"Sometime within the next hundred years… when you are old enough to jump into the Multiversal Currents as well…"
"Will we see cool worlds like Dad?" Crystal questioned eagerly, her ruby-red eyes blazing with anticipation unmatched…
"Sure…" Stars replied awkwardly, unsure of how to tell Crystal that Zeel was the only one capable of granting anyone a Mbeamer…
Crystal sent a couple more lightning bolts into the hordes of zombies below, but suddenly she paused and grew excited…
"Daddy is coming home…"
"What?" Jill, who had just arrived atop the wall, shook in fear as she darted towards Crystal, attempting to snatch her up and make a break for it…
More than anything, Jill feared that Zeel would one day come back and take Crystal away from her, and apparently, that day was today…
More than once over the past two years, Jill had tried to sneak Crystal away from Civilization, but Crystal always wanted to wait for her dad…
There was no way Jill could force Crystal to do something she didn't want to do…
The last time Jill tried to take Crystal away, the small Homo-Superior Hybrid materialized daggers in her palms and started stabbing her mother…
That incident told Jill one thing – Crystal had no qualms about killing her if push came to shove…
Since then, Jill studied Homo-Superior knowledge extensively, learning everything there was to learn about the culture, hoping to make herself useful to Zeel even a little…
Maybe then, he would allow her to remain at her daughter's side…
The void cracked open, and out came Aurora… her wings unfurled to demonstrate her grandiose…
"Step-Mother?" Crystal shouted, but paused and shook her head "You feel different from Step Mother… are you Step Mother's sister? Yes… So you are Step Mother Number Two…"
Stars was on guard but made no sudden movements because she was aware that there was nothing she could do…
Zeel had a database of enemies to terminate, and Aurora was number 706 on that list, but Stars lacked the power to beat anyone below rating 5,000…
Aurora glanced down at the small, slightly chubby Crystal held in Jill's arms and confirmed that the child was indeed Zeel's…
Aurora noted that Crystal had Zeel's ruby-red slitted eyes…
Her skin was as white as snow, and her silver hair that reached all the way below her knees…
But the child was also incomplete… fighting the Homo-Superior side in favor of the human side of her heritage, but it was obvious which would win out in the end…
"You can call me mother…" Aurora whispered, using her Angelic Voice to enforce the idea that she was Crystal's mother in everyone's mind…
Jill flinched when Aurora claimed her place so bluntly, but a signal from Stars warned Jill that correcting Aurora would be disastrous…
"GIVE ME MY DAUGHTER…" Aurora commanded, and without waiting for Jill to hand her over, Crystal leaped into Aurora's arms…
Aurora smiled happily, pinching Crystal's cheeks with a look of absolute bliss on her face…
"Wanna see something cool?" Aurora asked, and Crystal nodded eagerly…
Aurora gestured to the hordes of zombies outside the wall, releasing a chill from her hand that covered hundreds of miles, freezing every zombie in sight…
"Woah…" Crystal became starry-eyed "Will I be able to do that someday?"
Aurora nodded "You will be able to do much more… maybe even beat your father…"
Hence, Aurora became a mother figure to Crystal Crawford…
