There was some kind of purplish-green aura surrounding it, that seemed like it was an invitation of pain and desolation.

The strangest thing was that one wasn't able to sense or 'see' what was behind the first line of trees, as everything got darker, and pitch black.

It looked like the light didn't dare to enter behind that line. As everything was ruled by darkness!
