The cool air of the night pushed in through the windows that were left wide open. Sliding through the breezy curtains, it made its way to the girl on the large queen-sized bed that was tossing and turning restlessly. The silver in her eyes gleamed in the darkness of the room as her mind raced with an endless stream of thoughts. Her hair was left loose only to be tangled with her limbs every now and then, much to her irritation.
Elize turned towards the window with a grunt, staring at the dark blue of the sky in search of a moon that had reached its peak of waning. The shadow of the earth covered the new moon, which made it seem like the moon wasn't there at all tonight. But her eyes could see through it all. She had come back to her mansion after a ritual gathering of the witches that they did on every new moon.
