"What sort of person do you think I am?" Cody asked as he switched from sit-ups to jump squats.
A thoughtful expression crossed Alex's face. It took him a minute to answer.
"I think you are the kind of person that relies more on logic than emotion. You obviously have them now that you're on the outside but they don't affect your goals the way they do for the rest of us."
Well, he wasn't wrong. It was true that Cody didn't rely on emotions the way his friends did. His actions were primarily based on convenience or practicality. Wouldn't that make it even more difficult for him to understand the concept of love?
"Is it even possible for me to understand love then?"
