Chương 5: CH 5 Forest and Skills
(A/N I saw some people were concerned about how he is going to fight in the dungeon. Based on what I have seen both from multiple anime and Danmachi the dungeon floors are huge while some do have small spaces from what I have seen and read the floors can easily allow room for a scythe weapon user. Also from scythe combat I have seen people hold the center of the staff and use their attacks that way. Also for the Alucard Gloves I'm going to add that they morph with the user. So for instance when Jack goes into his Byakko form they will change accordingly.)
The skill books were on scythe wielding, multiple close quarters combat, hunting, camp building, and survival tactics.

Allows user to flow with his scythe as if it is part of his body.
Close Quarters Combat Rank A
Gives user knowledge on how to fight with a weapon or without.
(The hunting, camp building, and survival tactics are just for overall knowledge while he is in the woods.)
"Hey Kyra how come these skills have ranks and my other ones do not?" Jack ask because of the weirdness of it. Kyra explains "Because the skills shown previously were your innate skills that cannot be shown what or how powerful they are to a God or Goddess if you decide to join a familia. While the ones you just required are very basic and easy to see. Comparatively." Jack looks around and notices that he is still just by the river where he first started and could see Babel tower from where he was. Realizing he has six months to get stronger he starts to get very excited. He saw a cave over by the river and decided to head in. Being a small cave only big enough for a couple rooms with no other exit than the way he came. Jack though it would be a good spot to set up.
Going through the item store Jack purchases a bed, a fire, and one other item. Jack is shocked to what it is. It is a bag but not just any bag it is a Pokémon backpack colored in white and red. Seeing this he is really excited and buys it right away as one of the functions is unlimited storage. Seeing this he is very happy and spends 250 SP without thinking about and as the bed and fire were both 10 SP he only has 30 SP left. While the backpack does not have the actual Pokémon design it is said to be worn by the famous trainer Red. So after putting his scythe away in the backpack he notices it's getting late and decides to head to bed with the anticipation for tomorrow. He let's Kyra know to wake him up if anything happens or when it's sunrise.
As the sun starts to rise Kyra wakes him up. He then starts preparing to train. He sets up the two dummies outside the cave by the river and practices his scythe wielding and CQC with the gloves. After that he decides it would be a good idea to set some traps around the forest and and edge of the river to catch food. Also since the river is clean water he drinks from there. After a couple weeks of this he feels like he has a better grasp of his abilities and combat skills. He wakes up the next morning and decides to try his transformation skill. As he focuses on it he starts to get bigger and more animalistic. He grows a black tail that fades to a dark red as it goes to the edge. Two come to the top of his head and have the same color scheme. His face begins to change a bit as it adopts more of a tiger head shape his pupils become slanted and his eyes are golden. As his hands change the gloves he was wearing and the rest of his armor except for the shorts section of his vault suit get covered by his transformation and actually add internal protection to his body. (A/N it should be obvious why the shorts part of the vault suit is still there.) He pulls out the mirror and looks at himself he got taller and more muscular. His fur is black with dark red stripes on his back. His hands are like a humans hands just with claws. He can tell if he focuses though the gloves will go over his hands and still have his claws be just as sharp. He notices he is a little faster than before and can his claws on his feet to dig into walls to walk on them. As he tried his other senses he looks in the mirror again and looks at his eyes he assumes he can see better in the dark now to. Then he starts using his nose and he smells iron. He starts sniffing some more and confirms it's blood. Running extremely fast he walks over to one of his traps and sees a goblin trapped in it.
He becomes shocked at the sight of the goblin doing everything it can to try an escape. Seeing this Jack breathes slowly and calms down. This will be his first kill he thinks first time he has killed anything. Yet he slowly walks up to the goblin and slashes him with his claws at his throat. The goblin get decapitated instantly as it was very small. While he killed him he noticed the slightest bit of dark red fur on him lit up the tiniest bit. Jack confused asked Kyra " Hey why did my fur light up?" * Your fur lit up because you killed an enemy this is from your blood rage ability as you kill more in sequence the brighter and longer it will grow as well as your thirst for it. However since it was one goblin and was not much of a fight and you can not sense any other enemies in the area the skill dissipated. You will find the same affect in your human form with the red streaks in your hair lighting up as well as your eyes.* Jack contemplating what Kyra just said asks "Isn't that pretty villainous?" * While it is, it all depends how you use it.* Kyra says with confidence in who he is. Jack thinks "that is true so I should not worry about it." Right when he was about to walk away he remembers to pick up the core and put it in his backpack.
Jack starts to head back to his home. When he finally got back he came out of his transformation. He then went through the traps at the river and started to grab the fish that were caught. While he was using the fire that he had in the cave to cook the fish he asked Kyra if he had any missions yet. *Yes you actually do* Kyra said excitedly. " Really whats the mission?" As the mission pulls up in his mind.
Mission
Culling of the forest
Mission Objective: Option 1 kill 200 goblins option 2 help the goblins attack a nearby village. If you choose to do nothing within 72 hours goblins attack the village.
Failure: You die, cannot kill 200 within the time limit, the village is attacked without your help.
Rewards: Option 1 1,000 Experience and system points. Option 2 2,000,000 Valis.
"Why is it giving me two options?" Jack asks Kyra. * For every mission there will be multiple options while this one is pretty straight forward on which side is evil and which side is good, some missions will give you options that fall in a grey area no matter what you pick.* Kyra says while Jack starts to think about the possibilities. "Well I guess I will do the first option because I need the experience and system points." Jack says picking that option while the countdown for 72 hours begins. Time to see how my skills and training have paid off so far.
(A/N I would show his new updated status board but it has not changed since he has only been working on technique. He also only gained 10 experience from the Goblin earlier.)
