Chương 59: Ch. 58 A Perfect Moment
The longer the movie went on the more tired I got. It was only 7:30, why was I tired. The movie was really good and interesting but I couldn't keep my eyes open. My eyes grew tired and I ended up falling alseep. The last thing I remember is the time 7:42. A hand shook me awake.
"Myira." a sleepy voice said.
I opened my eyes and looked around.
"Zack?"
He was right next to me.
He laughed, "You fell asleep."
"I did?" I sat up super groggily.
12:09 AM the clock below the TV said.
"Wow, I did."
"My mom said you could stay over if you wanted."
"Zack, I am not sure if that is a good idea."
"It is completely up to you.'
"You know," I laughed, "This reminds me of the time we first met. We were so innocent back then. We knew nothing about life and where it would take us. But I knew, that we would meet again. I hoped we would, and we did. Now look where we are. Friends even though you know my secrets now."
"You know, your right. Back on that island, you saved me. Not just mentally but physically! You brought me food no matter the circumstances."
"Yeah, those were the good old days, when we wanted to grow up, when we were happy."
"I remember it like the back of my hand." he paused, "Can I ask you something Myira?"
"Yeah."
"Why didn't you tell me that night."
I looked at him, he still hadn't moved from the position where he woke me. "I don't know, believe me I wanted to so badly but I knew I couldn't. No matter the circumstance, I couldn't. But now you know. I am glad you found out somehow."
He remained quiet and reached for my hand. "No matter what you are, you'll always be my best friend."
I feel a rush of power but nothing happened, perhaps my power is neutralized when around him. I feel his grip begin to fade from my hand, I grab his hand tightly and move closer to him. Resting my head on his shoulder I feel at ease.
"I shouldn't be doing this. Your different from other auras I've felt. I-I wish I could be human."
"What? No! Myira. Look at me."
I looked up at him, resting my chin on his shoulder. His Blueish-green eyes caught the light radiating from the TV.
"You are perfect and I hope you won't change that."
"That's the thing, I'm not."
I wanted to turn my head away but something told me not to. Zack looked at me, his face mixed with many emotions. His eyes bounced back forth between mine before they finally locked. He shifted his shoulder up causing my head to move with it and kissed me softly on the lips. I looked at him in disbelief. His expression changed from happy to embarrassed so fast.
"I am so sorry! I couldn't help myself! I shouldn't have done that."
He tried to pull his hand from my grip but I kept it in place.
"Thanks." I said genuinely.
"How was it?"
"Perfect." I said trying imitate his smirk.
We laughed a few seconds before I realized, I kissed a HUMAN. My first kiss was with a HUMAN!
"This is the craziest thing I have ever done.".
"What?"
"Kiss a human."
"Ohh." he laughed and did his smirk, "That was my first kiss."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Mine too."
"I geuss you could call it our first kiss then." we laughed.
He seemed so happy. I wish this moment could last forever.
