Getting a quick out boosted the team's morale a bit. Rei checked the next player and noticed he had a more neutral stance. Rei decided to use the classic inside and outside patterns to get him out. He quietly signaled Suzaku, who just nodded. Suzaku at that point had complete confidence in Rei's decisions.
Suzaku nodded as he slowly pitched the first pitch to the inside which the batter left. Rei asked for the next one to the outside low, making it as far away as possible for the batter. As Rei expected, the batter could not connect the ball properly and if he had left it, it would have been a ball. It was way outside for it to be a ball.
The last one, Rei, went for an outside course once again and was able to trick the batter who thought it would be an inside one. Successfully getting a strikeout, Rei threw the ball back.
IMPORTANT-
Some of you might be wondering how long till the tournament arc. I am planning to have this small mini-arc for Rei's development. These matches will be 4 chapters each and I will only write 3 matches in detail. I will not write the other round of matches like this. After this arc ends the tournament arc will start after a few more chapters of Rei fixing the problems he has in his game.
THANK YOU TO Kirito_Tatsuya FOR THE LOLIPOP GIFT
