Chương 24: 24. New Family ( Part-II )

( SHIROGANA POV )

*NEXT DAY*

By the time I woke up it was already around 7:30. Remembering that I promised both Sora and Meiko that I would play catch with them I immediately stood up and went to get ready. I came down and noticed Narumi was already preparing breakfast and Meiko beside her helping in small things. Seeing this I felt happy for both of them and smiled.

Narumi turned towards me and said, "The breakfast is almost ready, please go wake up the other two." I then noticed both Sora and Rei are not down yet.

So I then went up and first went towards Sora's room to wake him up. I then entered his room and noticed that it hadn't changed one bit. There were still baseball posters and other baseball stuff filling up his room. I shake my head and go towards the bed.

I then bent directly towards his ear and shouted, "AHHHHHHH"

Hearing it suddenly he jolted up from his bed and fell down looking around to see what happened. He then faced towards me and said, "Not cool dad. Not cool." He was always a heavy sleeper if he didn't have baseball.

I just smiled at him and said, "Wake up breakfast is ready." and went out not waiting for his response I could hee some groaning coming from him when I went out.

I opened Rei's room door and noticed that he was sitting at the edge of the bed and staring down at a photo frame of both Tensei and him. I went near him and said in a soft voice, "Come and get ready the breakfast is ready." and went out to give him some space. I then just stared at his door and then went away. I couldn't do anything to help him, it was something he had to get over with his own strength.

( REI POV )

I just stared at Shirogana-san's back till he went out of the room. I then got up, kept the frame on the desk and went into the washroom. I started to brush and thought about yesterday night's dream where I saw dad. He was looking at me with a smile on his face not saying anything to my continuous cries for him.

I then shook away all the thoughts and quickly finished getting ready and went down. Going down I noticed Sora who just came down and sat on his chair. I went and sat on the chair and we all started eating.

After eating me, Sora and Shirogana-san made our way towards the hall. Shirogana-san then said, "Ok then Sora and Meiko get you things ready we will go and play."

Then we heard Meiko's voice from the kitchen who was helping her mom wash the dishes, "Otou-san Rei told me that he will also come with us to see while we play."

Hearing her Shirogana-san turned his head towards me with a look of surprise and asked, "Do you also want to come Rei?"

I then just nodded and said, "I was thinking of getting some fresh air." Shirogana-san just nodded and said, "Ok then go and get ready."

I went up and changed clothes to something more comfortable to play. I then came out of the room and noticed Sora carrying two bags in his hand coming out of Meiko's room, probably also bringing her bag.

I went to him and took one of the bags and simply said, "I'll carry one." and started going down with Sora walking behind me.

After coming down we all then went towards the car and kept all the luggage inside it. We cross-checked whether everything was there as Shirogana-san didn't want to go back and forth if we forgot anything. After seeing everything was there we drove off towards the park. I didn't talk and just stared out of the window seeing people walking around. It was a 15 minutes journey to the park and upon reaching there we all took out the bags from inside and Shirogana-san parked the vehicle and came back.

I went and sat on a nearby bench looking at the siblings. Sora and Meiko started to do some running. Shirogana-san came towards me and said, "Go and join them and do some exercise. Even though you are not gonna play, some fitness would help the body."

I nodded and joined them. After 20-25 mins I was laying down completely exhausted from the run and exercise. Meanwhile, I turned my head to see both Meiko and Sora only having some sweat and not even heavy breathing. I then noticed how weak my body was and then decided to do some workout every day.

I then went and sat on the same bench next to Shirogana-san. Seeing me he nodded and said, "Good work." and gave me some water. Sora and Meiko then started to play catch ball with a bet. They bet that whoever misses the most balls thrown by Shirogana-san at them would pay for the other at the batting cage. I just sat and started to watch them play.

After an hour or so they ended the game and it turns out that Meiko lost. I noticed them while playing and came to the conclusion that Sora is better than Meiko at playing catch but Meiko has better arm throw and precision. It was not that Sora had a bad precision, it was just that Meiko's was better.
