Chương 6: Chapter 6 What's that smell (part 1)
I knew turning 20 was going to be so cool. I got to leave the pack's territory for the whole day without having my mother tagging along, before coming home and getting ready. I was so excited and a bit nervous ( what if I meet my mate, what if they don't like me and they reject me on my birthday. ) This was my day and I wouldn't let my nervousness get the best of me. I got in the shower and when I got out my best friend was waiting.
" Emily what are you doing here?" I asked
"I'm here to help you get ready." she replied
"why?"
Your hair silly, it will take you to long and I want to try something to help you get ready quicker.
" What might that be?." I asked back
" Sit down and you will see when I'm finished." Emily said
Can I do my makeup while you do my hair?. I asked
"NO!" I will do it when I have finished with your hair. No mirrors allowed until I'm finished. Emily said sternly.
"Ok I give" I replied
So my vanity mirror was covered with a throw blanket and she then began on my hair and make-up. I sat for 3 hours while she did everything. When she had finished I couldn't believe what I saw. She had pulled my hair back into two half pony tails and connected them as one before she had curled my hair. she had turned my hair into a rainbow of curls. For the first time my hair was curled and it was holding, she had given my makeup a natural look, she knew I wasn't a makeup kind of person, something simple I could do myself and be happy with it, my eye shadow caught my attention, she had somehow did it with every color of my hair, then had added pink.
"I don't have any pink in my hair, why pink? I asked.
"That's my favorite color and I hope it's the next color you get." she said shyly.
" Your the Best. " I said
" Okay we best get the birthday girl to her party. " she said.
" Let me get dressed first. " I said
I chose a white knee length dress, white sandal shoes, chest length gold necklace with a purple butterfly charm, and a gold bracelet for each wrist. I was ready to go.
Emily and I took our time walking to the pack house. Once we were closer, I smelled Cherry Blossoms and Ocean Breeze. ( Our pack lived no where near the ocean.) As we rounded the corner of the pack house, I was hit with a second scent, I smelled...Irish Cloves. ( clovers that grow next to a waterfall in Ireland. ) mixed with Coconut.
"Emily do you smell that?" I asked her
"Smell what?" She asked
"Cherry Blossoms mixed with an ocean breeze. Then Irish Cloves mixed with Coconut". I said
" No I don't smell anything like that. " she replied back.
"why do you ask?" she asked
I don't know but my nose is getting hit with those smells.I said
I wish I had time to look, but alas I did not. I had to go into the pack house to meet with my parents before the party started.
I will find those scents later...
