Chương 25: Chapter 25
Carnia opened her eyes and she immediately saw three heads looking at her downhearted, her eyes were kind of blurry at first but her eyes quickly adjusted after she blinked a couple of times, when she looked at the three heads again she saw her brother Ethan and her two parents looking at her.
"Are you okay?!."
Linda shouted anxiously after the maids had told her that her daughter fell unconsious in the woods she hurriedly came over to Carnia's room and checked her condition after Ethan brought her inside the house.
"Mhm."
She nodded wondering if what happened earlier was a dream, that a fox that turned into a human and made a so called blood pact with her that could be the equivalent of a contract that the lady will be her follower from now on. The fox also explained to her that the blood pact required blood that if the beast is powerfull it requires more blood to sacrifice.
Now that she thougth of it, it only took more than a minute for the blood pact to finish before she passed out that meant the lady was a weak spirit or the blood pact just did not work. The fox was stucked there for a really long time if it was a nine tailed fox it could have escaped there or avoided being stuck in that situation.
"Carnia?."
Carlton touched her forehead and checked his, he sighed in relief that his temparature was the same as her. It did not seem like she was cold and her breathing tempo is normal.
"Whats wrong?."
Linda asked caressing her hair while holding her right hand, Ethan fiddled his fingers squinting both his eyes on the floor tears almost coming out of his eyes.
"Its nothing."
Carnia replied smiling brightly at Ethan, he really did not look like the psychotic brother that kicked her everynight when his anger issues were out of control unfortunately when her parents passed away all the people inside the mansion hated her they did not care when she yelled for help every night and did not even helped her heal the wounds on her body, she just covered all of the bruises by using makeup covering every corner of her body that was abused by his sibling.
Out of the two brothers Ethan was the most msyterious, his anger issues resurfaced after their parents death but before that he was a normal child he sometimes do something harmful but it was not directed to a human instead it were used on animals. His illness might be connected to Intermittent Explosive disorder or IED an disorder in which he has frequent outbursts like throwing or breaking objects and domestic abuse.
In his past life IED has no cure but can be controlled by using therapy but in this world the word therapy cannot even be understood but during his 4 years of life here in this household Ethan might have improved quite alot instead of torturing the animals to their death he just casually kills them swiftly before returning to his sweet personality. Ethan also have a quick change in personality it was not considered as a problem seeing as how many people in the mansion do it especially the maids. gossiping on each others back while maintaing a smile when the actual person is infront but the one thing that bothered Carnia the most with Ethan is that he resemble more like Linda , when Ethan was a child he copied his mothers signature 'good boy' and accidentally two years ago Carnia saw Ethan kissed Aiden on the lips and they acted cool about it looking as if they were used to what they were doing it made him think if he was gay or not it was not a problem for her but it is weird to look at considering they are blood related brothers.
speaking of Ethan she looked at Ethan and she wondered as if something or someone is missing, she recalled her memory before she passed out and then she suddenly remembered there was still a child hiding in the woods.
"Where is brother Aiden?."
As soon as she asked her question the door of Carnia's room flung open a child bawling with his clothes covered in dirt. Aiden stood at the entrance door and rubbed his eyes with the sleeves of his cloth blaming the fault to Ethan for not finding him.
