Chương 102: ch 101
In order to prevent things from escalating further I released my aura just enough to to momentarily stun them forcing everyone to shut up and not do anything stupid but in doing so everyone was too surprised by the fact that I do so in the first place especially Morden as he has never been suppressed by anyone other than a dragon or possibly other half dragons because of their natural physiques and only ever suspected that he might be suppressed by Shalu.
Me:"Now I know everyone is a little bit on edge with recent events and developments but I want everyone to take a moment to breathe and consider things before anyone says or does something that they might regret Morden you said that those guards appeared to be imposters so I think you should leave it at that and not try to stir the pot Saygin your son has been returned to you unharmed so I don't think things need to go further isn't that right sultan" I gave him a stern look to let him know that wasn't a question
Sultan:"Yes, your absolutely right I don't want this to continue either" he said masking his resentment
Me:"Since Morden is responsible for the safe return of Faysal, I believe that the sultan is willing to over look his rude behavior as tensions were high and invite him to join us for lunch so we may break bread together sharing a meal at the same table then Faysal and Shalu look over that book together in the garden doesn't that sound pleasant to everyone?"
Morden:"An excellent idea!" I can see the nervousness in his face
Saygin:"Young lord you are a true paragon of peace"
Me:"And you sultan don't agree with everyone else?"
Sultan:"Yes, that does sound like a wise choice" strained himself to say it
Me:"Excellent I'm glad that's all settled"
After I was forced to take the reigns from the irresponsible buffoon and do something completely out of character for me and de-escalate the situation my only conciliation was the fact that I was able to rip the metaphorical balls off of some of the most powerful people residing within the sultanate and the only real winner out of this is Faysal after we have finished lunch Morden and the sultan made excuses to be scarce while Saygin was afraid of letting Faysal out of his sight and stayed creating ideal chatter with me sitting within sight of his son as Faysal took the opportunity to try and get closer to Shalu who seemed to enjoy his company but was actually complaining over our bond to me the entire time yet never let it show.
