Chương 8: Broken Hearted
She was with Sehun walking around because there was still time. She missed him, her long time bestfriend, as a matter of fact, they all were, but she's close to him, no single millimeter distance them.
"Hi kips, long time no see. How are you? Did you miss me? Did you cry because I'm not by your side? Did you get over me? Did you got yourself a boyfriend? How is he? Handsome? Wealthy? Good person? Hard working? Intelligent?" he said, nonstop asking questions.
" are you a detective? If you are, please, ask one question at a time. Now where were we? Uhmm first, thank you for asking, I'm fine, really. Second, what was the question again? Ahh, sorry not sorry but I don't miss you-kidding of course I miss you. I didn't cry though, why would I? We aren't a thing so, I wouldn't get over you. Moreover, I don't have any boyfriend but if I do have one, I'll make sure he isn't like you. Stubborn, lazy af, stupid, crazy and stuffs. Now, any other questions?" she crossed her arms, looking like a serious person but inside, she was cackling.
" hey! Watch your words young maistresse! I'm not stubborn, lazy, well, sometimes, not really stupid and surely I'm not crazy. I'm just crazy for you" he mumbles the last part where she couldn't hear exactly what was he said.
"pardon? I'm sorry but I couldn't catch the last part"
"oh never mind"
They talked about how their lives now. Unlike before, it was all happy and goofy but now, it felt like it was gone in a blink of an eye. They walked, talked for a long time, while the sun was setting. He decided to ask one last question.
"Lara, do you love me?" he asked, in a matter of serious tone. She froze to her ground. She didn't know what that mean. Either as friends or as a lover.
"what exactly do you mean, Sehun?"
"answer me Alara, whatever you think it is."
"I do love you...."
It took a moment for her to continue.
"but in a friendly way, I'm sorry"
His heart ached for the first time. It was the first time he felt like this, broken and beaten up. He tried to do his best to cover his sorrows with his smile, he knew he could make it and so he did.
"it's fine, I was just checking. I was kidding actually, I like Chang Chang." he smiled at her, the genuine smile that you could see when you're in love, love that is true.
"for a moment, I thought you were serious" she awkwardly laugh.
"for a moment, so do I" they both laughed and went back to the field where they supposed to be, ignoring the awkwardness.
He felt a tightening in his chest, difficulty in breathing. He felt like someone has punched him in the stomach, knocking all the crap out of him.
You see, when your heart is broken, it feels like the last part of Avengers: Endgame. No amount of pain has ever felt so agonizing or concentrated. It's like a giant circle was perfectly shaped into your chest, with no hope of filling it.
You cry your heart out, stress eating, you watch Netflix until you've seen every movie that would make you feel better and yet nothing seems to smooth your heartbreak or soothe the longing that you feel.
Our bodies literally repel being dumped because there's no greater pain than heartbreak. The struggle was just so real, and the risks we take by falling in love are innumerable and terrifying.

"hyung, is it painful?" he asked Luhan. He was a teacher in another department.
"what do you mean by that?"
"you know, when you're heart was broken"
"that one? Uhmm... love is just as addicting as drugs, like cocaine. When you're a cocaine addict and you decided to cut off from the drug, your body goes through withdrawal. The same thing happens when you're addicted to love and suddenly find yourself without it. It really hurts you know. Why the heck am I even talking to you about this? Did you perhaps?"
"yeah"
"who's the girl?"
"Alara Leilein Stone, what'd you expect?" It was the moment that they kept silent.
"I just can't help it hyung. She's a precious cargo. It's just that, it's one sided love" he continued, softly sobbing. Luhan soothed him and patted his back.
"you'll get over soon, just don't rush things okay? It's bad for your health. It'll cause depression, according to Psychology."
"don't act smart hyung, you're no help"

Miss Eun announced all the necessary and a must things for the sake of the students. She started by where should they put they things, their whereabouts, their schedules, works and activities.
" why do we have to do this? Shit, I'm the leader but I'm lazy." the team leader of Team Naverin, Boy's dormitory.
Did I mention about dormitories? Clearly not.
"attention, all the boys and girls must be in different tents. Team leaders go to the dean's office now." the assistant dean said.
"now, I want you all to separate. Girls on the right side of the field while boys, on the left. Now girls, it'll start with Team Avery, followed by Adaire, Linnera, Minerva and last Team Alara. For the boys, starting with Naverin, followed by Marauders, Adleraw, Hendrixia and Dievalry." command miss Eun.
" uhmm... Headmistress, may I ask? Why is our teams named like that? It sounds like from centuries ago." Team leader of Avery asked. Surely, she was going off topic. She never asked that question ever since she started her years there.
" I supposed your professors didn't tell you but, that's for me to know and for you to find out. Now, go back and tell your members,"
"That's nice, well, we'll be heading out now, headmistress." they bowed and went out.
Everyone was now sleeping soundly by the harmonious rhythm of the night and the night creatures and with a little bit of snoring sounds.
Opened tents, feet sticking out, turning bodies, the night wasn't really a cold night, rather a warm and moist cold night.
