Chương 12: bato of the watertribe
"commander, one of the prisoners request an audience."
i looked towards the guard, who was wearing a traditional guard uniform of the fire nation...
"who is it?"
"bato of the water tribe." the guard spoke stoically making it almost impossible to descipher the feelings he had for the water tribesmen...
but considering that he was here, as part of the army, and words he spoke for me, was full of respect... one could tell, he respected me both as a prince of the nation, and as a commander...
"bring him in."
funny what a beating can do ones mind?
as i thought this... he disapeared, and soon came back with the burly man, with kind eyes... long black hair, and eyes...
this was bato of the water tribe
"firstly, id like to thankyou for helping us, give our rights to our fallen." he continued, with a large, yet tried, guilty smile on his face... it was a smile of kindness dispite his mourning... "ive come to ask, what you intend to do with us."
that was a fair question... as i havnt ordered the torture nor have i ordered them to give up tactical infomation... it became a mystery.
i leaned over the war map, and pointed towards Ba SIng Se.
"i have been given orders i must ennact, or something far more precious than my life will be taken away from me...."
his eye brows scrunched up, at such maturity being exuded from a child... what could be more important, than his own life?
that could only be, family is he talking about family?
"i am being threatened by the firelord, my father ozai, he will kill my beloved siblings, if i do not succeed in the order given."
sadness radiated from his eyes... as he heard this... it could be a lie, true, but it was more likely the truth, specially with what he asked him next...
"i wish to cooperate with the water tribe, to storm the fire kingdoms, royal palace in 6 months time."
Bato who heard this, couldnt help but gawk at the balls of the kid in front of him.
this was high treason! but he couldnt help but smile at this... kid... no... man in front of him, who is no more than 5 years old.... "very well, what do i need to do?"

Zhou Chen who swore to follow the princes every command, was standing outside the tent, making sure to give them their privacy, he knew about the situation back home, and did not agree with it... so he was going to make certein to turn this legion of men, and women, into loyal soldiers in 6 months time. as he was already told the plan by the prince.
....
as such as everyone was relaxing, and doing their rounds, in the legion under prince karna's command...
they had received strange orders to release the watertribesman... and give them a small portion of their supplies along with a ship...

not long after, Bato returned on the fire nation ship, and met a tall finely chiseled man, with black hair and brown eyes...
at a large tent made of hides....
"BATO haha! to take a fire nation ship, there is much we can do with it.... where is Yuyu, and that boy-"
"lost... but we have an opportunity-"
he told him everything that happened ever since he encountered prince karna, and the plan, the deal he made with him on his behalf.
he stroked his goatee as he listened to this... and blinked... as he heard 'storm the fire nation palace'
with a son of prince Ozai.
"do you think its a trap?"
he couldnt help but ask, this seemed far too good to be true.
he wanted to know bato's opinion who had met this.... child... in person.
"this crown prince karna, is the one asking us to asist in raiding his own kingdom, and in exchange he will help us fight the fire lord... he wishes to save his brother and sister, Azula and Zuko respectively from the hands of his father."
batos voice was parched a little from talking so much... and the supplies he gave them would last for quite a while, so he took a swig of beer at the desk in front of him... not caring that it was the commander of the water tribesman...
"do you trust him?"
this was what he was asking, and wanted to know....
"i do. the child is sincere, and will be of great help in the war effort, he is without doubt, the most talented bender in the history of the fire nation."
bato had an eye for people... so he decided to take his word for it...
"i wish to meet with him myself, and discuss the plan."
he smiled, and than brought out a fire nation uniform... "he has already forseen such a occurance."
laughing this was an opportunity to end the war!
he might even be able to see his own son and daughter soon...
....
we continued down path made by earth benders.... and soon arrived at a large fortress that bar our way...
the fortress is named Cai fortress, and was not too far from one side of the great wall...
i left half of my forces with the ships... to protect them, along with a suitable tactician witch i tested tharoughly....
the land itself was not welcoming... the earth kingdom is filled hearty and stubborn people... they were that way by nature... as such... we had to be careful....
as we advanced down the path, large rocks began to fly towards my men that were in file... in hopes deal as much damage as possible...
i jumped onto Zhou Chens shoulders, standing upon him, began to shoot off lightning in great quantity, countering the boulders and turning them to rubble...
"attack!"
at my command they immeadiatly dispersed and went on to attack the enemies... loyalty increased by a great margin as they were awed and amazed at my ability to shoot of lightning consecutively...
they let loose a warcry, full of youth!
letting balls of fire from their fists off.... while the earth bending soldiers defended, creating large walls, or countering by making the earth shake and so forth....
it wasnt going to be easy, as the numbers of the opisition were roughly the same as ours...
it quickly turned into a great brawl...
while i wielded my sword, Zhou chen wielded his hammers and we began to throw down!
