Chương 4: EPISODE 4: Trouble in Emerald Woods
"Finally, we have arrived... Kalem, I welcome you to the Emerald Woods"
Me and Glade, decided to go to the Emerald woods for leisure time. At first I had a doubt going through the woods, but since the headmaster said we could do whatever we want, I agreed to come with Glade and Shinx.
"So... So... this is the Emerald woods?" I asked.
"It looks so creepy" Riolu said while hiding behind my legs.
"Yes this is the Emerald woods! isn't it nice?" Glade asked.
"Nice? What do you mean nice? It's so silent and spooky!" I said
"You'll get used to the ambiance soon, come on let's go deeper."
"But you said we would only take a sneak peek, that was the deal."
"He he he, come on, follow me if you want to see something cool."
"F... Fine, but you lead the way Glade."
"Yeah, yeah I know, just don't be scared"
We walked deeper and deeper to the Emerald forest, and as we go deeper, it became more silent... more silent... more silent... The fog got thicker and thicker.
"Hey glade, why do they call in Emerald forest anyways?" I asked while walking with Glade, my body was shivering in fear.
"Legends say, that the Emerald woods used to be a lush forest with healthy Pokemon living there. Some say there was even a town deep within the forest. The people of that town used to live and love the Pokemon in the woods" Glade stated.
"Th... Then what happened?"
"A mysterious meteorite, descended from the sky and crashed a few miles from the town. The town's people were in shock, as a blazing flare and smog succumbed to the forest. Everything was burned down, the Pokemon and people perished."
"Hey you're not making that up are you?" I said in total fear the trauma was too much to bear.
"No I'm not joking around, the souls of the body of both Pokemon and human, tried to ascend to the sky, but the fog was too thick, their souls couldn't ascend, so they merged, the souls merged into one being... into one Pokemon"
"Wait a minute Glade, tell me we didn't come here to catch that merged Pokemon?"
"Of course I want to catch that Pokemon! Why else should I come here?"
"You're a liar! You said you've come to show me something!" I said with a high tone.
"Yes...Yes I did! I wanted to show you the Pokemon" Glade said.
"Both of you stop fighting!" Riolu tried to stop both of us from fighting, but...
"Glade... D... Did you hear that sound?"
"Huh what sound?"
"I hear footsteps..." I uttered silently.
"You're right! It seems to get closer and closer..."
"Glade, the trees, they're moving..."
"Impossible Kalem! Trees don't move-"
"Glade it's getting closer to you, it's behind you"
"Seriously Kalem, your jokes are old sch----"
"It's touching you Glade!"
"I... I am very aware of that" Glade froze in fear.
And in a flash! The tree took Glade into the thick fog!
"GLADE!!!"
"KALEM HELP ME!"
Me Shinx and Riolu ran as fast as we could to follow the moving tree. But we lost track of it as the fog got thicker and thicker.
"GLADE!!!" Me, Shinx and Riolu shouted.
There was no sign of Glade anywhere. I was worried that I would get scolded when the Headmaster finds out we went here without permission. And I might even get expelled when she figures out that Glade is missing. I must look for Glade.
It was about 3 pm, and we still kept on looking. I could have called Detective Looker, but I forgot my cellphone in my room.
Minutes later we stumbled upon a cave, a dark and creepy cave. We were about to ignore the cave, but...
"Help, Someone! Please!"
"Riolu, Shinx, its Glade we have to rescue him inside the cave."
In the cave, we called his name again "Glade!" "Glade!" I shouted all over the place!
We finally found Glade inside a small cage made out of bones. The moving tree probably spit it out when he was eating. I couldn't simply grab Glade and go out, since the moving tree was sleeping beside the cage.
"Kalem, break me out of here!" Glade uttered softly.
"Yeah, yeah, but what if the tree wakes up all of a sudden?" I asked.
"Then fight it" Glade uttered.
"What do you mean fight it? Like Pokemon battles?"
"Yeah, like that... You want to be a Pokemon master right?"
"The thing is, I don't know how to fight with my Pokemon"
"What?! you want to become a Pokemon master but you don't know how to fight?!"
"Well, I was about to start my journey... until the incident happen---"
TREVENANT!!!!
The tree woke up in anger, its sleepy slumber became angry hunger!
"Quick Kalem! Ask Riolu to use a move!"
I was so scared by the look of the Pokemon, but I knew its now or nothing.
"Be calm Kalem, command Riolu to use a move"
"Right! Riolu I'm counting on you!"
"Leave it to me!" said Riolu.
"Riolu use Karate Chop!" I commanded Riolu, while Shinx tried to bite and destroy the cage to set Glade free.
The move was about to hit but then...
"PIKACHU USE THUNDERSHOCK!!!"
A shock of thunder destroyed the moving tree, and a shady man, Pikachu's trainer came closer.
Shinx on the other hand was able to set Glade free...
"What are you two kids doing here?" That voice sounds familiar, could it be? Its detective Looker and his Pikachu!
"D... Detective, we can explain" I stated.
"Run now explain later, before Trevenant gets up!" he commanded us.
"Come on Pikachu, leave Trevenant!"
*Pikachu climbs Looker's elbow.*
TREVENANT!!!
"That Pokemon is fast!" Glade commented!
"Get in the car hurry!" Looker said.
TREVENANT WAS RUNNING FAST.
"Pikachu use Iron tail to seal off the cave!"
PIKA PI!!!
Detective Looker quickly ran into the car and we drove. I knew he was about to scold us.
"What were you two thinking?!" Looker shouted.
"Detective, we... we're just exploring the woods." I said calmly in a low tone voice."
"It's my fault detective, I forced Kalem to come with me, I wanted to catch a Pokemon..." Glade explained.
"It... It's my fault too detective, I came with Glade. Were sorry detective please forgive us."
"YOU TWO COULD HAVE DIED THERE! DIDN'T YOU THINK OF THAT?" Looker scolded us.
"I just wanted to catch the Pokemon from the legend of Emerald Forest," Glade explained.
"That Legend is just a legend, there were no merging of souls! The whole legend is a fake! That's why its called a Legend." Looker exclaimed with anger!
"We're sorry..." all of us apologized to Looker.
"It's fine, don't apologize to me, apologize to the headmaster when we return," Looker uttered.
"Beatrice sent you didn't she?" I asked.
"Yes, when they found out that both of you were missing, they called me right away." Looker explained.
"Kalem, I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything." Glade apologized to me.
"No... No don't be, if we get scolded together, it's fine" I said.
"You're a good friend Kalem..."
"Both of you, do not do that again, especially nowadays," Looker warned.
"Why sir?" Glade asked.
"Criminals are on the loose they're called team Chaos. They are everywhere so stay inside the orphanage!" Looker commanded.
"Yes detective..." We said we a low tone.
"We're finally here don't forget what I told you!"
"Yes detective..."
"Come on Kalem, let's go inside" Glade said sadly.
When we stepped inside the door, we were surprised to see Beatrice sitting down, looking at us in an angry face.
I knew we were gonna be scolded, but I did not hesitate to fight back...
"BOTH OF YOU TO MY OFFICE RIGHT NOW!" Beatrice shouted.
